There are some decent heavyweight ftse100 stocks paying dividends of 4-5% that can be picked up for well under a quid.

With time and patience, these returns should grow- both dividends and capital value- which should take the anxiety out of investing for some and the need to jump on a BB every day of their lives.

This looks like a superb opportunity for those who had been sitting on very heavy losses to sell up and get at least something back from their original stake.

With no fresh news the stock has ticked up to around its intrinsic value. Hard to see it being propelled to 70-80p without proper news. Anything is possible off course.

Pearls, a slanging match is counterproductive but if I have difficulty valuing this share, which one of us is sitting on massive losses.

You have constantly called it wrong, suggested they could pay dividends next year and highlighted courses of action the Board may pursue which would be illegal. Utterly ridiculous.

If I had called it the way you did when you thought these were cheap at 80p I too would be in the same predicament as you.

As for spratt/up2 date one can only hope he’s get the mental health support he so clearly needs.

For anyone jumping in first time at 17p it’s one heck of a return. Pearls, I would (respectfully) take issue with your comments. At £13 the co. was valued at £900m , based on hope value and the momentum of 3000% quarter on quarter rises. That was all lies we now know.

So what are the shares worth - 75% lower then their 1.20 2023 high. Maybe acorrection but still cannot get away from no new contracts and still loss making.

No doubt few here have the luxury of cashing in given the levels they originally purchased at. The coming announcements better be worthwhile or the rise will be seen for what it was- a failed gamble.

JG, we just hold a different view. On the re- rating to what value and on what basis?

What I mean is how can the markets get a handle on how valuable the company is, or likely to be, if the company itself doesn’t.

So far, the company cannot give an idea of how many sales it will generate, or when it will generate a profit. That in itself is really not a great sign in light of all the missed targets.

JG, fair point and you are probably right. It may be it’s just the fall in sp was massively overdone in the first place . The intrinsic value range would suggest that.

The value of the business is now £11m higher thanks to the sp rise. It is on the back of no new information however and the fundamentals of the business as they currently stand do not give cause for optimism. Just an opinion.

Indeed JG, especially if your investment strategy is based on short term timelines measured in weeks.

From their comments, those sitting on heavy losses may feel they have no choice but to sit tight . For those who first invested at 18/19p well done.

The company is now valued at £10m more than it was 2 weeks and that on the back of no news. Maybe this is just a correction but given the lack of news it’s possibly more of a dead cat bounce.

“Very positive outlook.” Is this the same Board that gave guidance of 15m after Q1 revenue of 700k and maintained the fiction up until 2 weeks before year end.

Incompetence of the highest order. Kelly may know how to run a company but has shown he knows nothing of how to create value for CRTA shareholders . That’s the issue.

There are 90 jobs on the line should this company fail. It’s a British company so good news all round if this does signal a better future for the company. I hope it does.

The concerns have been played out in previous posts to the displeasure of the playground bullies and those remain from an investment point of view.

A 30 second google search puts the base case intrinsic value at 27p a share. The best case with more variables puts it in the mid -40s. So, clearly there are those who see the collapse in the company value as overdone at current levels.

The company does however need to demonstrate, and soon, it is on a path to profitability. So far, they have done the opposite.

As Hastings says, it’s about facts. I was making the point that any share price rise without something to underpin it was nothing more than hope value. I stand by that.

What are the facts? We can’t keep rehearsing the same arguments- heavily loss making, the company’s own Board and CEO has no idea on the future prospects/financial position of the business, what revenues will be generated etc etc.

I appreciate people are nursing heavy losses on this stock and any rise is better than nothing but this company, as far as we can tell, is in difficulty. Not my opinion but the market, the same one that drove it down from £1.20 its peak after suspension to its current level.

No marketing spin or accounting sleight of hand will change that fact.

As the posts get ever more hysterical, in every sense of the word, a timely reminder the only thing driving this share is hope value.

How do I know this? Not magic - 126 million shares in issue and the value of the net buys are 13k. No news. Still no guidance and the idea that people are loading up because they have insider knowledge!. When will you learn?

The share price has recovered 2-3% of the 90% it has dropped since resuming trading. It is clear that there are people on this board who have massively overextended themselves - how many college funds, how many retirement plans are at stake here?

Don’t forget to bring your magic wand.

Pearls, you have zero credibility- how many times have you been called out on your misleading predictions? You should be embarrassed. You have falsely stated $3m is already in. That is not true. You seem to have trouble distinguishing between booked sales and actual revenue.

Nothing in the Q1 results deals with the underlying concerns that the market clearly has. Those concerns are legitimate.

Let’s see as you predicted if the company generates 20m in sales for the full year. There is no chance based on the Q1 figures.

If you want to reference correct predictions, I presented a best case scenario while warning these will easily be sub 15p without significant and meaningful progress. So far the Sp has since dialled closer to the 15p level. This is not about what happens in one quarter though.

Facts? What facts are those exactly. Pearls is clearly a glass half full person and good for them but what he/she is reporting is severely distorted. It ignores the severe financial predicament the business finds itself in.

Dividends? How does a heavily loss making company who is forced to slash their employee base to simply continue trading, and cannot provide any forward guidance find the cash to pay dividends? Serious question.

What is going on here is blatant ramping from people who have failed to read the warning signs that others have, and, consequently, are sitting on huge losses. They have zero credibility and the utterances have been little short of insane.

People on this board have pushed back on this time and time again. Good for them if it prevents others from making the huge mistakes that Pearls, Spratt, et al have made.

That’s because nothing has materially changed in terms of what we already know.

If it had, the shares would have been marked up as opposed to being unchanged from 1 week ago.

An announcement of a 500k per annum contract plus other low value contacts won’t move the dial or put to bed the questions on longer term viability.

The only thing that will send the share price higher in the meantime is sentiment.

It will be interesting to see what the markets make of this and where the sp ends up.

Nice to see a 500k per annum contact announced. Increases in revenue are always good news. There is clearly interest from some quarters but what is the profit percentage? Is it silly to raise that question?

Still loss making, still no forward guidance, no visibility on profit % of each of the other contracts. Issues with key markets, admission they are under resourced in sales which suggests they erred in cutting too deep.

They are still in business, still scrambling for contracts which is better than nothing. Haven’t ready any of the posts from the usual rampers but I suspect none of the above has been covered ( could be wrong - it has been known to happen).

Last year guidance from the company centred around 2 important metrics -cash flow breakeven and revenue of up to $15m. It is shocking that not only they failed to get anywhere near this but the timing of the guidance withdrawal- it was deeply cynical.The markets were not fooled and the stock was hammered.

The company have sensibly not provided guidance this time but it is concerning. My suspicion is that, notwithstanding banking some contract wins, it’s going to be a difficult year.

Anything could happen and you may well be right and I completely wrong. I just see warning signs where you don’t.
