I suspect majors will need at least the PFS, due soon, to justify to share holders the amount they would need to pay to buy SOLG.
I would expect BHP to have developed respect for NM in how he has managed this and got us to where we are.

I therefore see 3 possible scenarios playing out over the coming months .

1) We get Franco funding and BHP and NCM take a bigger stake making a 3 way JV with us to develop the mine and possibly repeat the model on the other prospects in Ecuador
2) BHP and NCM are in informal discussions to make a joint bid for SOLG following PFS.
3) A third party, such as Barrick make a bid, creating a bidding war for SOLG.

I agree with you but I really do think they are clutching at straws and that we won’t get shafted.

There is a clear discrepancy in their statement in that if they do change the board to get NCM and BHP in charge, it does not make any sense that they would give CGP a decent offer for their share. If anything they would get less and there would be no ‘friendly sale’.

Re third party bids would mean we get a decent price

They are assuming BHP and NCM will both vote to change the SOLG board to get a cheap buy out.
Based on recent events with NCM one could believe they might go with this.
BHP remain stum, so impossible to say at this stage whether they will go with CGP or not.

I see this as positive.

All sounds great, I just have that niggling feeling we will get a placement to raise funds for Saudi, at least it may be at a decent price this item round?.

I just have a feeling we won’t get the Franco funding news before PFS, if I’m wrong then maybe NM is indeed hoping to go all the way.
If PFS is still on track for Q3 then we have about 6 weeks before it lands

Don’t start red night, I’ve been here longer than you have.
One is allowed to be invested and not always part of the happy clappy club.
If you think the SP has performed well over the last two years then we disagree on that.
I say the BOD have a part to play on that with lack of any substantial news, it was the same pre COVID, nothing has changed as yet, other than more staff and more money going on community projects.
I speak for myself, however with the board potentially being voted out, there are Clearly others not happy also re share holder value.
