I disagree that current circumstances will mean majors won't be able to buy resources.

They have billions, and as they plan decades ahead if they see a bargain and its part of the growth plan I see no reason why this temporary situation will affect this.
You could say the opposite might be true, in that if their profits decreased for 6 months or so, which hasn't yet been established any how, they will want to cherry pick the best resources out there.

There aren't many who would argue against the resource we have being one of the best out there.

What I disagree with many on here is the actual severity of the virus itself and the amount of time big business may or may not be in lock down for.
China itself I think was in lock down for about 3 weeks, more like an extended New year than a complete disaster in terms of limiting growth.
How the market responds in my view is almost independent to the actual facts on how business will be hit and the severity of the virus

No the drop from 17p is down to the markets, but when you say NM can't be blamed for this, which is true, you could say with confidence that if had been managed differently we wouldn't have been down in that range to start with.

He must have known that no significant news for 12 months would have a big impact on SP.

If it was all down to CGP stake, then it most definitely wasn't worth it, which I've said several times this year, lets just crack on with our 85% stake and leave CGP to crack on.
