These are the founders of the business, and they fully deserve every share they hold — it’s their vision, their execution, and they’re clearly committed, given they won’t be selling a single share until a buyout event.
The facts are straightforward: this is a £7.5m market-cap company with £2.5m in cash, funded for three years and, based on the trajectory, very likely to be acquired before that window closes. Pre-IPO shares are hard-locked for 12 months, and IPO shares fall under EIS, meaning holders are strongly incentivised to stay invested for three years to maximise the benefits.
You’ll struggle to find a cleaner or more aligned share structure in the entire small-cap space — yet somehow this is the angle people choose to criticise. It’s honestly laughable.
