In good faith, the other side of the value calculation is the number of shares in issue, which was probably quite different 19 years ago as there's been lots of dilution (boo).
I expect that a lot of that peak was hype around Tjate? Also, picking the absolute peak at 122p, which was probably held for a day or two, might also not be representative so your figures are to be taken with a pinch of salt. (respectfully).
That said, I'm furious at the state of the share price and you're clearly correct that it's chronically underperforming.
I think the share suffers high volatility when the market is risk off, such was with this Iran business, where we might not benefit from high copper prices due to lack of sulphuric acid. Also makes it a potentially great opportunity if the tide starts turning.
Looking forward to the Molefe presentation, along with timescale for the new concentrators there, and of course hoping for a JV or two on the large waste after much delay.
