Thanks - and to be sure, cobalt hydroxide 28% is what is quoted on the LME at circa $45k per tonne?
The specification on LME says "Cobalt with a minimum of 99.80% purity"
I'm confused.
"before ramping up to the 1 200 tonnes of contained cobalt metal annual capacity, which equates to 5 280 tonnes of final product "
To me this reads as 1200 tonnes per year (100 tonnes per month) of pure cobalt, which is currently priced at ~$45k as you mention.
But they are saying they are producing 5820 of final product which is the cobalt hydroxide (1200/5280 = 23%) at 23% purity.
So I think the relevant calculation is 50 tonnes per month * $45k * 60% margin (your number) = $1.35m
Or at the 1200 per year (100 per month): 100 * $45k * 60% = $2.7m
Am I missing something? Or perhaps you're accidentally using the pure cobalt price with cobalt hydroxide production.
