I doubt anyone here (from UK) has even served any Military Service (except the Pro's) Everyone in NL who is aged 40 has done military service and in Switzerland everyone has to duty up until 35 yrs...

FYI. British is not a race but a mix of ethnic groups which have immigrated to the UK over the centuries. The same could be said of the French , Dutch etc..

I listened to both Monsieur Barnier & Frau von de Leyen and was impressed with their command of the English/French & German languages ..

As for Mr Johnson's English which I painfully understood, it is mostly un-intelligible to most Europeans .. I understand he was educated at an elitist top School but it is really difficult and hard to believe this?. ..maybe just the Name of School to his name but nothing else.?

You should spend more time concentrating on your own Businesses in your own backyard..

I am pretty confident that every household (Garage,Kitchen,Bathroom, etc) in the UK will have something that is derived from a German Company which cannot be said for UK products in European households etc maybe English Tea,

Young Folks have just had huge walls (actually from last January) put up for them to live,study & work in Europe...

Travelling for all folks from the UK to EU will become a lot more time consuming ...for example a weekend away will be a lot more hassle ...paperwork, Q's etc..

I have heard the argument it will be the same the other way round EU to UK but EU folks will just not visit the UK ...

Im not sure if you know how many Brits have moved to NL in the last year? )t is Thousands & it much the same in Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium....all over ..

I'm actually a Dual National (Swiss also) and from what we have in Switzerland (Prices, Trade Rules with EU) I really think the UK are going to have a huge shock because I dont believe the UK Population has attained the same high social & equal standard of living ( in short UK has divided wealth/classes) to sustain the impact of rising prices.

Young generation Swiss want to be in the EU and it will come ..

The Germans are successful even though we always make joke s here about them ....We all wished we had there track record of economic success ..well we do in NL but we could do with more (bread & butter) industry...

Maybe you folks in the UK listen to Chancellor Merkel or the EU President but we NLY listen to our ownPremier . I am/was always fascinated why the UK spent so much time talking/objecting to the EU rather than engaging....

From Where I live I can be in Germany or Belgium within 1.5 hrs (Dusseldorf or Antwerp for example) for a night out ... Your young folks in fact all folks are going to have a lot of problems from now on.

Living in NL for the last 30 yrs I can say clearly after briefly reviewing the deal,,, The EU has maintained its solidarity & has clearly won (if its a competition) ...

For what its worth Brexit has not been news over here since last January when the UK left...

Here in NL we started preparing for Brexit in 2016 so we are all ready for sometime...

But again clearly this is NOT Brexit ...
