Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
@m00la that only accounts for most of their revenue xD
@bouchos I hope it's broken its pattern of "build you up in the evening, slam you down in the morning".
Imo if it moves up first thing in the morning then we're probably headed for the ramp real soon. People overthinking the Disney / Mulan thing at this point.
Fingers crossed!
Never known such optimistic pessimists
Once again, drinks on investroid today
I've been really enjoying it so far, probably in part because of this board lol. If I can make it to the end if the month without needing to close anything then I'm here for the long haul :)
I quite frankly spent outside of my budget on this a couple of weeks ago. I opened several positions as both short and long term investments (beats leaving it in a bank) - literally as soon as I did, opening dates got moved back and now I'm stuck here with you lot hahah
Man I really hope so lol. I have a position near 40 I just want gone but I refuse to take the loss out of impatience lol
Several stocks in hospitality sharply rising today indicating confidence in general. Eating out & going to see a movie go hand in hand, so this is good news.
@indepthtwins
While that may be true, every single meeting is prefaced with "we understand things are f**ked right now" in these "Unprecedented times"
You're right, anyone who knows CINE history knows there will be a very good plan. Cine survived WW2 with an Israeli man at the helm. Give them some credit lol
@usuallyright
Handled correctly, this could be good for cinema and actually reinvigorate it. Less reliance on blockbuster titles might see "old movies" staying on screens more regularly in a bid to slightly redefine the cinema experience.
@indepthtwins
We've seen in other places that a solid plan for the future is more critical than anything at this point. Everywhere is reporting losses but SP are rising regardless.
CINE definitely has some additional complications but the same logic applies imo
I respectfully disagree - cinema has always been more about the experience and part of a nice evening out than just the film itself. It also has a cult-like following that never seems to decline. VOD has appeal and staying power but the two arent mutually exclusive
....Or is this just a roller coaster because I'm dangerously close to margin? xD
Up and down like a pro's panties today but it's looking like a strong finish!
I feel shorters are predatory by nature and pick the weakest prey - CINE only has positives in its future (unpredictable second/ local lockdowns aside) and is already at a low. I imagine it will attract riskier players but as a whole there are better options for shorting imo
I'm no advisor but if shorting is your thing, have a look at Eastman Kodak. You sound similarly funded and positioned as I am - if it continues heading south you could potentially make a nice and fast ROI with a short.
Just my opinion though
You Sell rather than Buy.
Drinks on investroid in a few weeks?
As a first time investor it's comforting to hear my 37p avg was a good move. I was concerned I was missing something :P
Price is holding steadier the last couple of days with (dare I say?) a slightly upward bias. It's the best few days this has seen for a while and imo bodes well for the immediate future.
Shorters are playing at their limit now, probably best to cash those in buy now to err on the side of caution. Buyers won't have much longer go wait but it's not going to be a massive and immediate spike.
Hopefully this is the pivotal week ?
