Just remember folks ...why does Zimbabwe need foreign help and investment to mine alluvial diamonds ? It's pi"" easy.!

They have an almost 100% inflation rate and a very large debt . They want to reduce both and one way is to ring-fence their natural resources . They will want to maximise the value of those resources for their economy by reducing any leakage of revenue to foreign companies.

It's not looking good for Vast's ambitions to return to Zimbabwe is it !?

I doubt if the diamonds will be released before the general election in August as it might not go down very well with the voting public . I really question if Vast will ever be given a licence to mine alluvial deposits in Zimbabwe...if it only needs mainly earth moving equipment to process alluvial diamonds why do you need outside , foreign help ??? Surely they manage to organise that !

Vast is turning into JUNK ...I wouldn't vote for any more shares being issued. Enough is enough ...time for AP to get a reality check . You can't make false promises and get away with it , so watch this space ! Downward spiral from now on unless some miracle happens !

I think this is going to drag on for months . In the meantime there is little to keep the share price from sinking . Only hope perhaps ?

Here's a bit on gas in Chile ...I know CTL has very green credentials but a gas discovery could prove an extra bonus perhaps ....and where there is gas there is almost always oil ....

I think CTL are in the right place at the right time , which really does count , in large amounts ,in business

It's a hot , emerging market with Chile having the largest reserves of lithium , more than any other country and it's the second largest producer in the world I believe . What's not to like about that ! ! 🤩

They have even discovered gas which they are going to evaluate ! 👍

I think there have been a few wild estimates of the value of the 129400 carat parcel . If the vast majority are industrial then your looking at an average of $90 per carat so that would be $11, 646 000 or £9.3. From that deduct tax , legal fees commission.

It's enough to get started in Zim . The plant needed is mainly earth moving equipment which can be hired or leased .

I think the Zim government will benefit greatly from demonstrating that it's open for business and willing to start a new chapter. It needs foreign investment to generate wealth, pay off it's debt and reduce inflation . In giving back the diamonds the Zim government will demonstrate that it can be trusted and send a clear message to all potential foreign investors.

Thanks for the link Lostsoul88 ...that's a very interesting development . Good to see AP was a speaker and that Vast were sponsors. !

There is a general election coming up in August so I think it would look good to have the diamonds returned and a joint venture set up by that time . Showing that the Zim government is keen to attract foreign investment and build a strong mining industry which cares about and reinvests in local communities.
