RE: Stainless-super-steel makes production of hydrogen from sea water (and ammonia) 40 times less expensive π26 Nov 2024 10:04
It should bring down the costs of making hydrogen from sea water . That hydrogen can then be converted to ammonia for transportation. If nuclear energy is used to convert the sea water then you have green hydrogen / ammonia.

I think the crackers could be used in fuel stations for hydrogen powered vehicles .It would make sense to have deliveries in the form of ammonia and convert it on site .

My view is that there will be a mix of cars and trucks running on different green energy . Both hydrogen and electric. I don't think there will be one overall winner in this race .

If Trump imposes import tariffs on UK goods then I can see DGI being taken over by a USA company (Tesla perhaps?) to avoid any import tariffs . If no import tariffs then great ...so it's a win win situation. With Elon Musk being 100% behind electric vehicles it's really great if he becomes Trump's right hand man . He will surely have a great influence in Trump's new government.

I think the budget was very positive about the funding of our green energy and automotive sectors . South Wales needs an injection of government funding due to the loss of jobs at Port Talbot steel works . Hopefully the government will see the opportunity to create jobs and prosperity in the region and back DGI with more project funds .
