JG68 - I'm maxed out on my ISA, so I had to sell 5700 this morning to get my allocated 6444 in return. I figured anything over 130p was a good price for the next few days, as we seem to be in a 128-132 range.

Annoyingly I bought another 9000 at 154.7 yesterday.

Will I get the open offer on these shares, as they were purchased prior to the record date cut off time of 1800, or will I miss out as settlement is T+2 ?

New MCAP £666m, 519m shares in issue = post offer price 128p

MCAP last night £543m, with 346m shares in issue.

MCAP post offer £543m + £200m new cash = £743m with 519m shares in issue.

Fag packet maths gives a post-offer share price circa 143p.

Yes you can sell a quarter of your holding today at 124p, and make a whole 9p per share profit on that quarter when the offer goes live.

Personally I can’t be bothered. 9p swings intraday are bread and butter for this share. I’m holding my 25000 and will take up my additional discounted shares.

These may be back above 150p by November 11th after the knee jerk has subsided.

Most likely one of the insti shorters buying back 582,000 shares that they had borrowed. We’ll find out at 4.45 tomorrow.

Yeah its a bit cr@p at the moment. At least MCRO has bounced off the strong 370-375 support a number of times since the Amazon news.

In the meantime J P Morgan have just upgraded their target price for Petrofac to 170 from 120.

Rye Bay went from 3.36% short to 0.2% short in 10 days back in April. There was no short squeeze then, so don’t be surprised if there isn’t one now. Goodness knows what financial instruments they were employing.

I was expecting more shorters and doom mongers on here today, scaring me into selling my holding for £2 / share first thing tomorrow.

We may see 190 this week with a lenient fine, closure of the SFO investigation and a delicious short squeeze. I’m genuinely excited for the week ahead. Another 25% tomorrow?

I increased my holdings here to just over 18500 shares today, average £4.39. I'm convinced this is the bottom and come November our share price will start with a 5 (and not 50p, before you say!).
