The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Up day today and resumption of uptrend to £4 anyone?
I'd like SP to settle in that area before any announcement or update to get the full benefit from any news. Only risk is global markets being quite frothy at present and needing to shed a bit of excess.
I don't like the look of this in the FT today: China starts ‘surgical’ retaliation against foreign companies after US-led tech blockade.

Would they instruct Weichai to hold off on signing the JV?
I hope not.
Yes, I don't disagree and you have probably put it more correctly. I think the point that needed cementing is that it is not just a simple market purchase by PC spending hundreds of thousands of his cash.
Cheers.
To clarify, the 200,000 shares was not a purchase. It was the exercising of his option to obtain shares issued to him by the company based on his/company performance which were likely issued as one of many tranches of options several years ago.
These options are typically issued as part of a senior leaders benefits package to motivate the achievement of positive future year individual and company performance.
Of course it is positive, if albeit very normal, to keep hold of these shares - but the message would have been quite negative if he had sold them.

Yes I agree, it is just a very short term trading term - an indicator when a stock rises very quickly and may need to take a breather before continuing its rise. Have a glance at this link. ATB.

Yes, a nice few pieces of good news in recent days. Looking forward to late Jan when the Interim results and trading update is released (Released on 20th and 19th of Jan in 2021 and 2020). I predict a very positive release and the 'pièce de résistance' would be if the full year profit guidance is uprated from £10m-£20m to say £15m-£25m. That would be a major plus for investor confidence and the SP moving forward.
However, a few short term drags on the SP could be resistance at the 200 day moving average at circa £1.34 and technically the share is currently in quite overbought territory.

I'm patiently waiting for the update on auditor, credit facility and half year prelim results. I have mailed investor relations again but no reply yet.
Frustrating that it is taking so long which is clearly causing nervous investors to sell. They do have till the end of Jan to sort out the credit piece though.
Troll someone else tetchy.

Thanks Malan, precisely in line with comms I have had from Investor Relations. So unless they are lying to us and the conspiracy theorists on here are actually right then I still say hold tight and trust JD to deliver a good solution.
