As the Runners and Riders approach the starting stalls at Horse Hill let's take a quick look at the field:

UKOG: Not placed at Broadford Bridge, Markwells Wood and The Isle Of Wight this once favourite is carrying a lot of weight and it's price would suggest there is little value left with this one.

Alba: Interesting entries in Greenland and Wales would suggest connections have high hopes for this one.Initially dismissed by the market but recent interest and with generous odds of 20/1 this looks the value Horse in this race.

Solo: There appears to be little support for this one and recent outings in Tanzania look to have taken the Gas out of this one.

Doriemus: Interestingly named after 1995 The Melbourne Cup winner. This one showed good promise but a recent move to Australia has put doubts over it's ability to finish.

Gunsynd: Should only play a small part here, whispers that it could do well but unlikely to go the distance.

Primorius: Another one unlikely to go the distance.

Horse Hill is all set for what promises to be the most exciting Race in it's history (There was a Race Course where Gatwick Airport is today)

The odds on favourite UKOG should do well but Alba looks to be a class above the rest and offers punters a sizeable return if the Race goes to plan. The other runners are in with a shout, however there is little or no support in the market suggesting this could be too much of a step up in class.

On a Sunday a few weeks back we had 11 posts from a total of circa 20 posts from DZ and Mannan both pumping UKOG and trying to cast doubt on Alba.

Makes a change for it to be Gerry69 and Double-ended-Dil.o

Looks like panic is setting in and that we could see UKOG Jockeys change Horse looking for better odds..

Great work by GF last week 18th July with the Alba Media Day. YouTube views after a few days for each interview and my personal ratings/ comments:

Proactive Investors: 577 Views - 10/10 (for me this was the best interview and the viewing numbers suggest this was by far the most used platform by investors)

IG UK: 350 Views - 8/10 (good solid and informative interview)

LSE: 135 - 10/10 ( Good interview with the highlight for me was GF stating Alba is a Good Bet)

Core TV 43 Views - 9/ 10 ( Some witty moments in this one with a nice comparison to BHP)

ShareTalk 1 View - 8/10 ( Looks like i'm the only person to view this interview !! LOL The interview is worth a look particularly for it's reference to a Big Cobalt find near Inglefield)

OK i'm going to try to put this funding thing to bed.

Will Alba need funding to get to production at HH if proved to be commercial ? Yes

Could Brockham provide enough funding if production is commenced at BR-4X after 8th August (subject to planning)? Who Knows but probably not quickly enough to fund new well at HH

If HH EWT's allow declaration of commerciality does it matter if funding is raised in the coming weeks or months ? Not especially

If the TBS JORC resource is circa 100 MT will there be big money looking to invest long term in Alba ? Definitely

I'd be happy for GF to get more funding but ideally when HH is proven and for that funding to come from a big investor looking to stay on board.

Oh and how much do I think we might need ? £1M should get this little Horse over the line

Ok so a few if, buts and maybe's, however Alba does seem to be sitting in a very opportunistic position.

So raise some funds if HH new well dictates it but lets see an interesting TR1 just afterwards

Strange that WO chooses fights when I was going to applaud him for raising PR in the recent Conference Call.

It could be that WO raising this topic helped GF to formulate the Media Day concept. One that I think was a winner in getting new investors to look at the Alba proposition.

This weeks GF push with the media will take a few days to reach a wider audience but my guess is that when the Share Talk interview lands later we will see further interest in Alba.

Give investors the weekend to watch the interviews, then carry out some research on MCAP's of Bluejay and UKOG and given we can expect some further HH results possibly as soon as next week i'd say this looks like it could take off big time...
