sm8go if it were as simple as watching the buys and waiting for the rise we would all be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams.
There are many forces at work most of which can only be guessed at.
A buy could actually be a sell and vice versa depending on the time of the trade, the spread, the broker or the movement in share price. There could be big sells or buys waiting to be filled in the background affecting the share price. The mm's (not the sweets) set and move a share price according to their positions.
That said you will often see lots of buys causing a rise or lots of sells causing a drop...if there are few or no bigger plays in acting in the background.
