It gets a bad name but I’ve found some of the Twitter metrics to be a fairly good indicator of how many people are watching or active in a stock, such as ‘impressions’. Although recently Twitter has started to included usernames in any # searches, rather than just the text of the Tweet itself, which means if you search for #TM1 you get hundreds of irrelevant results.
When the plant goes live they will be able to give an indication of real world demand and output, currently it is just estimates. Or perhaps information concerning third parties and their interest, or collaborations. One thing that seems certain is that turning the plant on will be a catalyst to a stream of very pertinent news.
Great summary by the Roast guys. Going to be an exciting next few months. Agree that it’s not long before the government concedes something to businesses involved in the circular lithium economy. Especially with TM1 having such close credible links to universities.
I just think that process mapping to this point must have been hugely complex. Since early this year they seem to have delivered on core objectives and we’ve had more clarity about why some of the other objectives haven’t gone as smoothly. But, like you I agree it seems everything is coming together in this/next quarter. The plant being operational in June will be a huge achievement and will catalyse lots of the other near term objectives, not to mention some of the broader aspects of the TM1 portfolio that are often overlooked.
There’s definitely huge potential. As you state the EV market, and associated focused on Lithium active ventures has been exponential. TM1 has so many potential revenue generating aspects of their business, some are pretty much definite and to be announced in the very near term. Some are less certain, such as the drilling and prospecting, but this side of TM1 could also add huge value at any given point. I’m not clever enough to predict market cap changes and much of that depends on market confidence, which I’m sure will grow once they have secured the immediate key landmarks. But it seems not wholly beyond the realms of possibility that we see something hugely different to the current market cap this year. 2p blows my mind slightly. DYOR and all that shizzle.
Great to hear the update and thanks for the summary. The press event is really good news too, like you said, this should draw in some larger investors into this soon to be cash generating business. Should be quite the news stream!
As much as I hope you’re right, 10p feels ambitious. Although I could probably retire if that were the case. However, I agree that there are many potential positives coming in the short and the longer term. These upsides should significantly increase the market cap. But, DYOR blah blah blah.
TM1 are 100% on brand for the move to EVs. Unfortunately, with everything going on the government tends to be reactive rather than proactive. But TM1 have proof of their model now, the final piece will be once they are operational, hopefully in June, I expect we will hear more about that in the site visits in the next Sunday Roast podcast this week.
I don’t believe they have named specific locations yet. Just that they have stated an ambition for five sites. I would have thought once the initial one is up and running and they have a tested model, that they will then start moving on other sites. But they have quite a few other projects on the go, so I’m not quite sure what the sequence of events will be. Perhaps once this site is active, they will do another interview circuit and talk about ‘where next’.
I can’t really see any negatives with TM1. Everything is pretty much lined up, it’s just a (fairly brief) waiting game. Like people have said, it wouldn’t be wise for TM1 to be too specific about timelines, but I’m mentally preparing for news to start rolling in during June, maybe some surprises before then. Either way, it’s barely a blink of an eye. This company will be cash making very soon, many other ‘speculative’ stocks are trading much higher and this will most likely start creeping up again soon.
Yep. They still need to vote, but it looks like a given. Market is a bit dead at the moment so might not see an impact until more evidence of the turn around. But it seems like they are turning a positive corner.
Haha totally! I think maybe it’s a sensible choice not to RNS absolutely every single detail, sometimes it reduces the impact of the much more significant news. I get the feeling they are quite savvy about that. Or they forgot and they will announce having some really nice sandwiches for lunch.
