Great news, small caps fund managers will take their positions after the revenue hits £5m. SP went down the hill due to Mitons group (they still hold 5%), who sold their stocks across the board (not just Distil). Distil is here to stay regardless and it's shares will be trading in double digits in due course. If you can, hold on. Just my opinion, DYOR.

Age is irrelevant, health is more important. I am 75 and still as strong as an ox, Donald Trump is in his 70s and he is going strong and he might win 2020 election too.

Shares/Stocks are risky business but can be very lucrative. Not many penny shares companies have strong/positive balance sheet like Distil plc, the only shortcoming is revenue not climbing up. Major competitors advertise heavily on tv just before Christmas, perhaps Distil should team up with major supermarkets too.

Drop in revenue was expected for the first half year. It will bounce back in second half of the FY. SP is low enough now to attract funds specialising in small caps, Distil has solid foundation and well managed (cost control oriented management).

Miton still hold 5% (25m) shares in Distil. I will wait until they have sold all their shares, IMO they have cashflow issue.

Miton's shares went up 24%, they made fortune by selling Distil last year @ over 3p.

Bruce Philip Rockowitz (born October 24, 1958) is a Canadian businessman, and the CEO and vice chairman of Global Brands Group.
Early life:
Rockowitz was born on October 24, 1958. He dropped out of the University of Vermont to play tennis professionally. He has said that, "I wasn't that great by world standards, so Asia was a place that was a little easier for me to compete in". He started in Hong Kong, and became head tennis coach at the Hong Kong Country Club, where he taught he then chairman of Li & Fung.
Career:
In 1981, he co-founded Colby International with fellow Canadian Allan Zeman, and was CEO and president 1986 to 2000. In 2000, Victor Fung and Li & Fung acquired Colby for US$2.2 billion, and Rockowitz was CEO from 2011 to 2014.
Rockowitz has been vice chairman and CEO of Global Brands Group since May 2014.
He is the non-executive chairman of The Pure Group.
Rockowitz is a member of the advisory board for the Wharton School's Jay H Baker Retailing Center.[4]
Personal life:
Rockowtiz is Jewish, and has two daughters from his first marriage.[5][6] His elder daughter works for Global Brands in London.
For his 50th birthday on 24 October 2008, his then fiancee Coco Lee hosted a party at Hong Kong's Grand Hyatt hotel, guests included Philip Green, Richard Caring, Solomon Lew, and Marc Ecko, and performers included Dita von Teese, Lionel Richie, and Rihanna.
In October 2011, Rockowitz married Coco Lee, a Hong Kong-born American singer-songwriter, and performers at the banquet included Bruno Mars.

Distil's sp has the potential to go double digits if Global Brands decides to acquire shares in Distil.

Distil, up 16%. The wine and spirits distributor said it has launched a ready-to-drink RedLeg Spiced rim and 1886 Cola, in collaboration with soft drink, tonic and mixer company Franklin & Sons. Franklin & Sons is owned by Global Brands Ltd. Distil said the drinks will be available "shortly" through a "major" UK retailer. The 250 millilitre can contains 5% alcohol by volume. "Ready-to-drink rum and cola is more on trend now than ever before," commented Distil. Distil said the pre-mixed spirit and mixer category grew sales by 30% during the year ended July. Meanwhile, the spiced rum sector has grown just under 13% over the same period. Executive Chair Don Goulding added: "This new in-market brand collaboration sees RedLeg Spiced Rum continue to innovate and introduce new consumers to the brand through flavour, packaging and format development. It provides consumers with a perfect RedLeg Spiced Rum and 1886 Cola on the go, without compromising on taste."

According to RNS no.2 of the day, an Austrian investor has acquired 15.5m Distil's shares.

There is always silver lining after storm. The forecast for the whole year is unchanged regardless of last quarter's drop in revenue. As long as Distil produces breakeven and remain cash positive every year, it will be regarded as positive aim listed company. Share price of Distil has been on the down side since micro fund manager Miton plc sold their stocks across the board (not just Distil) last year. It is matter of time that Distil's shares will go up when funds like Miton will start buying rising star like Distil plc or a deal with major USA distributorship or a large drink company acquires one brand or whole company.

Diageo has signed a sponsorship deal in the US that will see its Captain Morgan rum brand assume 'official spiced rum' status with Major League Soccer. I believe Distil's chairman Don Goulding used to be a director at Diageo, he should take note.
