That's the kinda decrease I like! ;-) Not sure what site you read that on, but it's just a typo so don't sweat it. 8p to 12p is a 50% INCREASE in any normal accountants book. The Spanish the other day was the commentary from a chap called Morales on Maradona's 2nd goal vs England in '86. He got so carried away he even cried on air, and that emotion (& the quality of the goal) means it's one of this famous clips that gets played in most Spanish speaking countries each time the WC rolls around.

"As part of field operations a rolling programme of producing well workovers will now be instigated (and) the costs of these will be paid out of cash flow... results will henceforth be reported in the form of updates on overall production and not on a workover by workover basis. ....it is projected that for the first time in the history of Puesto Guardian drilling of horizontal production sections will form part of the operations." Key things here- Production increases & Efficiency increases, and both of these are ongoing and will increase more. One day the SP will catch on..... ;-)

rating from Canaccord with a Target Price of 12p. Down from their TP from last June of 20p. But still a 50% increase on the 8p SP today. I feel rather underwhelmed by that 12p. Hmmm.... still, I guess that's just factoring in Actuals and excluding Potentials. Eg. It considers the (minimal estimated impact) of the well reworkings in Argentina (rather than the maximum possible impact), and does not take into consideration any potential assets in Paraguay. That's me guessing that of course so could be wrong. Be good if we could see Canaccord's workings! Anyone from Canaccord reading this, if you would like to leave a big brown envelope containing said files on the 2nd bench by West Ferry at 17:45 GMT, that would be gratefully appreciated......!!!

GW Pharmaceuticals Receives Orphan Drug Designation from FDA for Cannabidiol for the Treatment of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex London, UK, 21 April 2016: GW Pharmaceuticals plc (Nasdaq: GWPH, AIM: GWP, "GW" or "the Company"), a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing novel therapeutics from its proprietary cannabinoid product platform, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Orphan Drug Designation for cannabidiol (CBD) for the treatment of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). TSC is a rare genetic disorder, the most common symptom of which is epilepsy. Epilepsy occurs in around 80-90% of TSC patients and is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. TSC is the third orphan indication that GW is targeting within its Epidiolex® (CBD) clinical development program, which includes four Phase 3 pivotal trials in Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, both rare and catastrophic forms of childhood-onset epilepsy. On April 11, 2016, GW announced it has commenced a Phase 3 clinical trial of Epidiolex® as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of seizures associated with TSC.

It is quite widely accepted now that Brent will Rise. First wave of cancelled projects is coming now (18 months ago FID - normally brownfield stuff or infill drilling), then in another 6-12 months smaller greenfield projects will start not coming in. Then in 12-36 months major stuff will stop coming in, all against a backdrop of annual 5% natural decline in non-OPEX production and 3-5% growth. So oil will fly without any doubt unless some serious demand collapse happens. Although I see the argument that a loss of OPEC control suggests a race to the bottom for oil prices as people are encouraged to open the taps. Much like the currency wars have played out for the currency markets Any rise will be capped by the flexibility of US producers, as they can come back on stream v quickly and whilst they are all small plays, the overall nos are high if oil hits $70 again. The Saudis know this and don't want oil over $50 for a year or 2 at the very least There is also some argument that commodity prices are mean reverting, $40 p/b still fairly high on historical basis. Shale is no less than $70 per barrel, when taking into account transportation, taxes, capex, depreciation, cost of capital, discount to WTI/Brent and risk. It is a long-term ceiling for oil price but a pretty high one ******* Anyway, those are just a few of this mornings ramblings speculating on the future price of Brent. may or may not be of interest.

Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing. Makes some good points about OPEC members capacity, and the current Risks faced by many of them. The conclusion is quite worrying from a geopolitical standpoint, "It never was cheap oil that threatened our economies. The scare earlier this year was misguided. It is the next oil supply crunch we should fear most." And when it comes, for all the troubles it brings it will also bring higher oil prices which will be bound to have a knock-on effect on the SP here. Still, it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good.... and maybe just maybe, there's a Bad Moon on the Rise... Actually, Re: Price of Oil, I was looking at a Chart yesterday (from Bloomberg) of Brent Oil Price vs FTSE100 movements since 2015. The closeness of the correlation is scary/depressing. The whole of the FTSE100 is nothing more than an oil proxy index!!!! Oil goes up, FTSE goes up. Oil goes down, FTSE goes down... You get the picture....

BOOOOOOOMMM!!!!! ;-) Another good RNS. Costs less than expected. Flows successfully increased. These results are "very encouraging for the upcoming new drilling programme". Costs down. Production up. Future prospects up. Share Price....... static!!!! Still, good news is good news. The Market will hopefully catch up with PPC one day and then for sure I will type a serious "BOOOOOM!"....

President (AIM: PPC), the oil and gas exploration and production company focused on South America, announces a further update in relation to its Argentine operations. The four well workover programme has been completed at a cost of below US$400,000, funded out of Argentine operating cash flow. This amount is less than a third of the cost of the two well workover programme in December 2015 due to rig-less working with a pumping unit. The programme addressing existing producing wells has been successful, with production increased by over 150 bopd. Total current production from the Puesto Guardian Concession is now 500 bopd. As part of field operations a rolling programme of producing well workovers will now be instigated to mitigate the inevitably normal field declines. The costs of these will be paid out of cash flow. As this work is considered part of regular maintenance, results will henceforth be reported in the form of updates on overall production and not on a workover by workover basis. The results of this latest programme are very encouraging for the upcoming new drilling programme, with particular regard to completion and stimulation methodology where it is projected that for the first time in the history of Puesto Guardian drilling of horizontal production sections will form part of the operations. Peter Levine, Chairman commented: "Each time we intervene in wells we learn more and more. The cost effective results from the latest programme have provided valuable and encouraging data for us to take into account in the design and completion of wells in the forthcoming drilling programme. Whilst there is much work still to do, we are optimistic about our Argentine prospects for the remainder of 2016. Oil sales prices are at US$58 per barrel, the macro and micro environment in Argentina is significantly more stable than last year, and average field production with the concomitant increase in free cash flow is on the rise."

True for Argentina, and even less of an impact there as Argentina Gov are buying barrels at a fixed price anyway. But for PPC, there's still production in Louisiana, and potentially Paraguay in the next year or so. Maybe a too simplistic view, but can't help thinking a rise in oil prices would be good news for an oil E&P company like PPC..... Also, there's not too much other news to add on PPC production & prospects that we don't already know!! ;-)

Saudi Arabia and other members of the 13-nation Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries are set to meet with nonmembers like Russia on April 17 in Doha to hash out a production freeze. Global oil production outpaces demand by almost two million barrels on any given day now. Will they? Won't they? Be interesting to see what happens.....

Agreed- positive RNS with regards to both the 4 wells reworking target completion date of end of April and the appointment of Jorge Dario Bongiovanni. Short-term- hopefully the wells can start to Flow again and that will have a ++ impact on SP. Long-term- makes sense to have someone with Jorge's experience working for PPC. Good experience with Repsol & Petrobras & the IFC. That's ticking a lot of boxes there. Onwards & upwards...

Operations at Puesto Guardian The four well workover programme has commenced. The workovers are on currently producing wells being three at the Puesto Guardian field and one at Dos Puntitas. The Company should be able to announce results of the workovers by the end of April. Present trading in Argentina is operationally profitable, with planning and negotiations continuing in respect the proposed H2 Drilling Programme projected to comprise an initial 6 wells. Directors President is pleased to announce the appointment of Jorge Dario Bongiovanni as a non-executive director of the Company.

Only cannabis based shares!? That's a niche market for sure! Still this share seems to be going "puff up & away" so that's all good! ;-) (I'll get my coat....)

You looking for suggestions of other shares to invest in? I don't know about Tilray or Aphria. Only other share I'm in is PPC, which is an Oil E&P Company. Trading between 7p-8p atm. Brokers quote it as having a core NAV of 20p which it should go back to by end of the year, and then has lots of drills in 2017 to turn it into a multi-bagger from there (if drills successful of course). Happy to chat about more on the PPC board if you wish.
