This is for Shale gas, in Vaca Muerta, which is a couple hundred km east of PPC's Salta drillings. Total said a rebound in oil prices had enabled it to approve the development of a project called the Aguada Pichana Este in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta region, which boasts the second largest reserves of shale gas in the world.

tested 8.25 again at Close yesterday and Open today. Onwards & upwards....

It's all quiet on here as we wait for the next Argentinian update..... Hopefully the workover programme cant have a Messi-esque strike rate and then goal, boom, SP lift-off!!! Can but hope hey! ;-)

Good shout asking. If you hear anything back pls do share it on here as I for one would be very interested to know. Legal Action- should be a boost to PPC's Balance Sheet at some point.

7.95 to buy, and 7.86 to sell with Barclays atm (just did a couple dummy buy/sells). So closing the week with a SP of 7.9 Been a good week or so. Hopefully some more positive updates soon from the workovers in Argentina. That'll have the SP ticking up some more.... One other thought; the Louisiana update was out of the blue. Maybe PL has a few more surprises to update the Market with in the next few months. E.g. A farmout in Paraguay? Maybe.....

We're testing this today. If we get past 8p, then we can expect a real decent rise. Last time this happened the rise went up to the 13-14p range and stayed there till drilling failure last October brought the SP back down again. Obvs there's been a bit of dilution since then, so might not go back up that far. But still, nice to be watching this have a few Blue days in a row. Fingers crossed it breaks 8p and then it'll be very interesting to see where she goes.....

Looking at the Main Shareholders in PPC gives me confidence. There are a lot of very respected Fund Managers with significant holdings. The next resistance point on the charts. Maybe withe the extra 150 bopd from Louisiana we could test that? Hopefully with the next (positive) update from Argentina we can break that........

New well in Louisiana giving us an extra 150 bopd. Acquisition lifts current Group production to approximately 1,100 bopd. Unexpected bonus there. Result.

Good point. We'd need quite a a few more days of going up 0.77% to make it interesting.....

If only we could have a few more "boring" days of 4% SP rises though. Then it would get interesting......

After surviving the worst of last February's oil price rout, President Energy (PPC) sailed through the rest of 2016 in fine fettle with its share price rebounding from a low of 5p to 13p. But then a drilling failure precipitated a funding crisis and November's unexpected $20m (£16m) equity fundraising at 6p and loan restructuring. Executive chairman Peter Levine, who funded the debt-for-equity part of the transaction, believes that his company has been unduly set back by third-party service providers, and is now proceeding with legal action. We feel President - which boasts low-cost production in the US, high-growth assets in Argentina, experienced management and now a reinforced balance sheet which is expected to show $8m net cash at the year-end date - should be trading much higher than 7p a share.

Good write up & one I agree with. Both Malcy & Peter Levine believe this company to be undervalued. The Broker appraisal from last summer stated a core NAV of 20p (although there has been some more share dilution since then so figure will be a bit lower). The way I see it is, PPC current NAV is incorrect and should be higher, and there's a lot further opportunity this year to add additional value through workovers and farm-outs. If all goes well SP could be triple this by end of the summer. That's a pretty big if, but hey ho, this is an investment that I am very comfortable with and waiting to see what plays out.....

Positive news. Argentinian production increase great than expected. That's 2 outta 2 wells gone well so far (forgive the pun). Lack of market reaction a bit disappointing, but hopefully it will catch up. Here's to a successful 2017 work-over programme in Argentina- that should at least double the SP. And if PL can throw-in a Farm out in Paraguay as well sometime this year, we'll all be looking at a very nice return indeed....

Is there anything going on in Paraguay at the moment? I thought that Paraguay was effectively on-hold whilst the Argentinian work-overs were prioritised.
