Why don't you just accept we have different opinions. All the arguing in the world won't change my view and I won't change yours.

Sorry Pete you are missing the point all together. There is no point me trying to justify my view to you because if you can't see it, then you can't see it! It is my opinion and I don't care what others think about that, everyone can speak for themselves.

Saying a lousy deal is surely all about opinions Pete and is all relative to where investors sit with their holdings.

There are as many of us out here who feel it's a good deal as there are of those who feel it's bad in fact probably more because it seems fairly certain as you admit yourself that the deal will go through.

Even many of us who believe it's a good deal don't think it is the best deal we could have got (I would have liked double what we got for a smaller slice) but I think we take a realistic view that at this time, it is the best deal for the company and for us shareholders to see an earlier return on our investment. The reason we are where we are on this, to me is not relevant. (He said, she said, blame him or her makes no difference because we can't put the clock back) I know that upsets people who still hold their understandable anger but, that's the way I see it and others can speak for themselves.

I suppose being at the helm at the time he is ultimately responsible but then personally I don't read much into that departure under a cloud theory, as he's in his 70s and retirement beckons. He's brought forward this farm-out and once it's completed things are going to be much different.

TBH he was quite shocked at the AGM to hear that the sp had bombed on the news after the early rise and I think perhaps he was hoping to go out in a blaze of glory. I think it time will prove it to have been his finest hour but the traders amongst us saw a short term opportunity while waiting for the deal to be completed and have seized it with both hands.

While I don't disagree there is an awful lot of double talk that goes on with words hidden behind words. There is also an awful lot of sophisticated investors who will also spout anything to get a lower price on the SP.

Some of those will give an answer to a question that bares no relationship to the point raised in the first place.

I also think it would be a bit daft of the to waste money replacing a valve without having prior knowledge that permissions to remediate will come.

I simply go with ratification being EGM as it is shareholders who do that. The contract completion scheduled for end November is down to the two companies and I imagine there will be some agreement changes with Solo to sort out before finally getting what is quite likely a pre arranged nod and wink from the government

Haggis, I very much doubt we will be given a spud date until the farm out is ratified at the EGM so that part is unlikely. The first stage of the Kiliwani remediation has already begun as was announced a faulty valve was being exchanged

So if we want to be pedantic on figures, I will change it to the actual figure 4,858 as published on the official report.

As it is customary to round things up rather than down I do not see it as a ramp to say 5 but I am quite happy to change it as I changed other things you and others requested a few weeks ago.

As for the Lindi licence not being extended that is quite correct

The above is the official communication from the BoD and I do not recall seeing anything in interview where the Jay said he may not be taking up the option. Firstly MAY NOT does not mean WILL NOT and that of course would be determined by the terms proposed.

However as I said, I haven't seen him say that, so if you could point me to the interview I would be grateful
