Indonesia has progressed quickly. Why??? The Iran war has seen an uptake in super majors clambering all over Sth East Asia. So a shrewd move to prioritise getting Indonesia signatures inked quickly to protect UPL interests. It’s lucky in a way that we were already well progressed over there.

Those that doubt SK334 are wrong. It’s been RNS’d previously we have exclusivity, so no one else is in the room, therefore no need to prioritise over acquiring other blocks at this moment in time. It is also linked to Block L underground, which is bound to be part of the negotiations. UPL have political support too, Energy Minister, The Premier, etc..

Re Brunei, we’ve submitted our bid vs others and await the outcome of the tender round which annoyingly hasn’t been announced yet, but this timeline isn’t in UPL’s control.

Should see 3 x PSCs this year, plus Mustang.

You omit the most important and “consistent” indicator Derek…. Directors have consistently piled in, and at a premium. Why is this ?????

There’s no one else talking to them about SK334....UPL would not RNS ‘exclusivity’ unless there was an agreement to back it up. If Petros are the regulator and make the award then that’s that. It’s just a timing issue now.

To be honest, any delays probably help UPL out, as it gives the chance to boost up value first via other projects which are dead certs. Tbh, when the other blocks come online, they’re enough to send the value well into orbit….

Dear oh dear. Not sure why comp bidding is even in the conversation here. We have 'exclusivity' on this block, which has been RNS'd multiple times. No one else is involved in the negotiations. To me, it could make sense to focus on Indonesia first because of the certainty of the oil being present and already found. 2 x PSCs here first, then income from Mustang field to follow, all gives UPL an extremely healthy mcap and strongest position to then complete SK334.

This is still small fry volume to be fair.... When the first license gets over the line, major volume should kick in.

Which one will it be though? Where's the smart money on? One of the Indonesia blocks has to be favourite surely...
