If you want to extract a decent price from a major you have to be able to prove you aren’t dependent upon them to move forward

Q I believe a bid could still succeed, however I no longer believe a cheap bid would. I’ve always wondered if a bargain was struck a year or so ago …. NM agreed to step down ( he didn’t have to technically) and stop the “boutique “ financing … in return BHP would agree to stay at arms length til at least PFS ??
As Monte says it’s all speculation and guesswork but surely that’s the whole point of these forums

Rc I chat with the company( Fawzi) very rarely just to get a feel for what’s going on . I speak occasionally to one other person within the organisation. I’m glad to say I’ve never been told anything I shouldn’t have and the day I am I’ll start to worry about my investment

Keith in April basically said their job was to get their heads down a keep working towards production…. Which is obvious…. He also said “I’m sure every single major has us on their radar” ….. are you claiming that’s untrue?
Long term of course production would bring way greater rewards, I just don’t believe we will be allowed to reap the benefits as an unchallenged single entity.
He also said in April that Rio would be drilled late 2021 early 2022 ….. so at least that shows we are capable of exceeding stated targets as well as missing them .

Q …. As you know we don’t agree on the eventual outcome here , though I think most scenarios will produce significant upside from here.
What I am convinced of, is that it doesn’t take 9 months to sort out a new CEO and there must be a huge backlog of results/ assays to release ….. so it would seem these announcements are dependent on something ongoing in the background being announced.
But what ….. JV’s , funding package ….. sale of asset/ assets ….. hopefully we’ll find out one day

A lot of these time scales don’t add up
Back in April Keith said 6 weeks ish to new CEO
Liam Twigger said assays were now down to 4-6 weeks ….. and still we have virtually nothing.
The only reason I can see for stockpiling news would be to offer a robust defence
I’m convinced the delay is more down to some corporate based activity ….. whatever that may prove to be
The one that made least sense was Irwin’s comment that the announcement of the new CEO would be the catalyst
As for the offer of booze , I very rarely decline
