If you dig into the detail re. hydrogen production in Australia, most the concerns are around the volatility of hydrogen. Also most people saw it as a good thing.
I believe there are methods to turn hydrogen into a slush material for transporting on vessels and there are commercial power backup systems using hydrogen to store energy.
I think once there are commercially available hubs, much of these issues will dwindle away, petrol is fairly explosive as is gas but you don't see people dumping their petrol cars or stop using gas.
Anything new faces challenges but for PHE its more about creating clean energy from waste, which is good for all of us and our beloved planet.
