Ryan Smith founded Qualtrics, the data-collecting software company, in 2002 with his older brother Jared and father Scott in the basement of their family home in Provo, Utah. A few years earlier Scott, a marketing professor at Brigham Young University, had come up with the idea to speed up market research using online survey software. Ryan, who was a student at BYU at the time, came up with the idea to sell his father's idea, targeting business schools that could use the product for academic research. Qualtrics grew as b-school students recommended the software to the companies that later hired them. The Smiths bootstrapped for years, reaching $1.3 million in 2006 with just 15 employees. They eventually raised their first venture capital round of $70 million from Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners in 2012. They raised another $150 million in 2014, in a round that valued the company at $1 billion. Still based in Provo, they now sell their software to the likes of General Electric, CVS and Microsoft.
Enterprise software giant SAP announced today that it has agreed to acquire Qualtrics for $8 billion in cash, just before the survey and research software company was set to go public. The deal is expected to be completed in the first half of 2019

Naomi Rule is stepping down as interim chief financial officer (CFO) at Blue Sky Alternative Investments Ltd (Blue Sky) following the appointment of permanent CFO, Elizabeth Walker, effective 14 January 2019.

Rule joined Blue Sky in a contract position in July 2018 and was appointed interim CFO in October 2018 following the departure of Matthew Whyte.

Sorry but I don't think the funding question is a useful one. Yes , we want to know but he can easily say no more funding is necessary and then weeks later announce a fund raise hiding behind any number of reasons.
I like the positive attitude on why he might be coming and hope he is not giving the webinar in order to placate us after disappointing results.

We have to be careful with questions that can be answered ''politically' . And we have seen that PM can say news is imminent and then we wait 4 months and still don't hear anything.
Asking about finance will just get the usual ''we hope in the near future''Blah Blah.
