Veoneer Inc., the electronics business that was spun off from Autoliv Inc. last year, aims to raise $500 million to help fund new product development and counter slowing vehicle sales.

The company posted an operating loss of $128 million for the first quarter, with year-over-year sales for the period falling 17% to less than $500 million. The supplier previously had forecast flat or slightly lower sales during the first quarter.

Veoneer said it had more than $19 billion of new business booked at the beginning of 2019, compared with $16 billion a year earlier. But the company cautions that some programs may be delayed as carmakers push back plans to launch next-generation autonomous vehicle systems that use Veoneer’s sensors and software.

Personally I am really nervous about the F150 and June 25th.
I have been let down too often by companies, teams, places of work and just generally people.

It doesn't really matter if new car sales fall at present as we are basically starting from zero, so any sale of a car with our tech is a plus for us and more than last year.

Interesting that PM is still quoting July as the SOP for two models. However we know that Ford have delayed sop of F150 till October and the Merc S class isn't due for production till September.

At present talking about pre July 15th as that is the date they will start taking pre-orders.
It will be the important date for us as then we will learn for sure if our tech features. ( correct me if I am wrong, but we don't yet know for sure if we are in it).

You seem so certain of the need for another fund raise, however I put it to you that we now have an ii on the board who has 20 per cent of the shares. Do you not think that they would be willing to invest a little more instead of going to market?
