@Longnife. When Origin look at the deal with Tambo. They wanted to make sure they selling to some one who can deliver. That is why they already created contracts for 10 years to deliver gas to Origin. Falcon can not deliver on anything with out partner there for they are not able to match any term of the contract.

Origin completed do diligence to make sure Tamborian can deliver on what they promise. To have money offer is not enough to complete this deal you need to have capability to actually be an operator.

For me realization of this fact came not too long ago.... For the longest time I though the deal was done with Origin and all we do waiting on the numbers, but ones Origin put out the news saying that they have not made any decision on Beetaloo. I almost drop from my chair and realized that was absolutely nothing done since 2014.

Not so long ago Wet mentioned that there is deal happening. So now I am thinking how come WetWater appear to have more info then CEO of Falcon? Anyway think about this and draw your own conclusions.

Ok, I am clueless, but I thought about it. This is what I may happen best case.
Two wells are not going to happen; Falcon cannot mobilize anything themselves (Need to get another parnter)
Another dilution of shares just to beat Tamborian deal, and I am not talking about exploration, and this is just to get acreage back!
Falcon needs to find a JV parnter, but I do not see anybody lining up. Origin was soliciting and end-up with the Tamborian. I do not know if Falcon can do better, but this will be another year at least.
So we have Falcon with significant acreage but no partner and at least a year of nothing....

I am very much looking at the deal objectively. I still did not hear anything what makes this deal bad for the Falcon shareholders..... Other then ego of one guy.

Deals like this are done under strict NDA, so it is kind of makes sense to keep this quiet. Falcon also can choose to exercise the ROFR if they so chose, but since Tambo will do the same thing (but probably cheaper and faster) what Origin was planning to do , why would Falcon even bother with it. I think this is good deal for Falcon shareholders, but also I rather have Riddle on my side and working for me then woke Origin CEO.

What exactly makes this deal bad for Falcon Share Holders?

My gut tells me this maybe very well orchestrated play between two small entities to get what they want from the big one. Lets see how it plays out...

I am thinking this thing will end up in court. When Origin announced 12 months ago or so they are looking for the partner. Falcon did not do anything, there for ROFR has been satisfied. Falcon did not offer to buy any part of Origin share and only start moving after the deal with Tambo was announced. This is not going to be simple.

I agree with Oleo falcon will be gone shortly and every Falcon share holder will be proud owner of new fresh Tambo stock not bad deal considering.
Tambo .15 US - half of billion shares or so - 38.5 %
Falcon .10US - billion shares, 22. 5 %
