Vics Canvas and Gilgamboa: 2/20 for a 88p or 8.8% return. http://screencast.com/t/ccdgxkRsqR I reduced my betting binge losses to £16 with this one just prior to the Grand National as a side bet. http://screencast.com/t/XrJhWvGsRS1 GLA, I can't afford this form of investing!
As the most read general chat I post this here. Tony Berry- A racegoer advises Brexit. See my new topic. Incidentally folk, I had a few flutters over the Cheltenham Festival trying to coat-tail Harry and lost all my money. £36. So will give it a rest. GLA I normally have an annual flutter on the Grand National and lost last year but have won in the past with a collection of long odds horses.
It is a tricky one. It was posters on a board's standard page size as opposed to threads. I agree that posters do tend to make following threads difficult by not hitting the reply button-something you should advise on perhaps in introduction to the site. If there is no way of automatically identifying posters in new conversations then the new trends would be too difficult to find. Thanks for your replies.
Hi Sophie, It is more a list of the hot chat topics that I want but refined to reflect recent trending as opposed to total number. This would be achieved by having a blanket coverage of topics(= companies), recording that two or more different posters have started a conversation that has lasted for more than ten days (this may need shortening) thereby identifying a trending topic earlier in the game.
Admin-as an aid to identifying possible interesting developments being discussed by the cognoscenti, could you post a list, when occurring more than 10 times and with a rolling monthly cut off, of the posters appearing on the same page when their names are different.
freeshare Posts: 2,298 Off Topic Opinion: No Opinion Price: 0.28 Sharky Today 12:06 Anyone know what happened to sharky? this boards not the same without him/her That is from the wet board today This is the sort of time wasting this site causes
Admin, is it a lot of trouble to organise the above facility for those logged in? so I can access their posts when I want as they soon disappear to page 100, thanks
Would it be possible to have an index of nicknames with current status and history as this would save a lot of posters chasing nicknames down that may have been banned or who have unsubscribed themselves. For current users, last post would be sufficiently informative if it took you to that post.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just thought as an industry if you like to call yourself that, apart from word of mouth, you have no evidence for benefits but I am sure many users would say thay have been helped and if you could identify how then your promotion could be so much better and users would also have some encouragement.
What about for your research purposes and interesting feedback you have polls where users can answer if they want to or not but might be of interest to investors as to how valid a board site can be to aiding investment decisions. This might counteract the professionals and company employees who often say to give you a miss. eg How many LSE members have become millionaires as a direct result of help received on these boards. This question may have to have conditions attached, or other qualifications, eg 30% due to, 50% due to, 70% due to these boards
