It's falling because of the news around a capital raise. Previously we've placed at a discount to existing share price - and with no details about what this raise would even be for, the market is rightly spooked. It's financials rather than fundamentals (the asset and its development aren't an issue).

There's value in offering a contrasting take on things to the zealots, who treat anything that isn't fanatical support of everything the board does as blasphemy. Think of it as a link to the real world.

Newcrest divesting ≠ mothballing. Greatland have right to progress if other JV partner doesn't want to mine. Not out of the realms of possibility that they could raise the funding required to do so.

Exactly. Too much time (and money) being spent on this pointless ASX listing. This isn't going to deliver value for us shareholders. The actual business of the company - exploration, development and ideally mining - playing second fiddle to this corporate circus.

No doubt any dissent was silenced in quick fashion. Naysayers given penance of 3 Hail Mary's 4 Our Fathers and 2 Townhalls

Previously he's talked about raising funds to buy an asset which would be forgivable/ potentially good for the business. Another raise to cover 'operating costs' [read cash for advisors and board salaries] would rightly face pushback from existing shareholders - especially when we've been told previously we're fully funded through to FCF

I don't know what they've been smoking at those town hall meetings, but attendees here seem to have a bizarre cult like devotion to the senior management. Anyone who questions the management is derided by the high priests on this board. The affair today has been poorly handled, and indeed previous capital raises haven't been well done IMO. Bizarre also that this comes a day after the Newmont news. Still a poor time to sell however, so won't be doing so.

Why would time frames substantially change? Slowing down the decline costs money, and it's not as if they're going to fill it back up.

I'd say the same thing to posters who constantly moan about 'manipulation' and 'holding the price down'. Stop complaining about non existent issues, or sell up.

I don't need to sow doubt. Doubt exists in any case - it's investing in a pre production junior miner/ explorer. It shouldn't be blasphemy to highlight this on the board

What's going on in the past few years? It's an exploration company - hopefully soon to be a miner. What's NOT happened in a few years is profit, or even revenue. Why should the price be back at ATHs based on what we have (which is still just a PFS). Patience!

wrong - there's plenty of uncertainty re. financial position. They're arguably fully funded through to mining, but that assumes newcrest is on board, that there's no further cash calls, that development of the decline etc remains on schedule, that inflation doesnt impact input costs, that there's not going to be another capital raise etc etc. Much of this should be answered in FS but to deny it exists is silly.

it's my biggest holding in my stocks and shares isa FYI - unlike many on this board im not investing pension however and my risk appetite is high. The endless whinging about non existent conspiracies from posters is embarrassing - and would put off any potential incoming retail investors reading this board.

Baseless conspiracy - prices being 'kept down' simply because there's not ample bidding above the asking price. Reason as to why there's not loads of buying now should be obvious - uncertainty re. the company's financial position, no revenue stream this year, outstanding lack of decisions on the project - i.e decision to mine. Patience is required, not more squealing about some shady cabal who want to 'keep the prices down'.
