If you say so Quickdip with your 1st time post!!!!!
It’s not been a good week at all for many stocks and True that the run up to 300 was definitely aided by the ‘Alonso effect’ but the SP will soon be back to and beyond 300p. Some profit taken by a few I’m sure and shorters desperately trying to get out of a hole now but next quarter will be better than the last and results will only get stronger moving forward.
In its own right Aston Martin really turning a corner when you look into the margin and if the F1 team continue to outperform as they did last weekend, it will massively promote the brand and sales of cars.
Thanks for your thoughts Richard.
Ferrari have had an extremely well developed product and brand for decades and that continues to be the case. Whilst Aston Martin itself has been around for more than 100 years, I believe it’s fair to say that in recent decades, it’s not been managed particularly well and carried an unwanted shadow of ‘unreliability’ in its cars and desirability of 1 or 2 in particular.
The ‘Stroll Era’ feels to me like Aston Martin’s being re-born and by far for the better. It wants to be the next ‘Ferrari’ but actually, more than that I believe. Stroll’s vision is for Aston Martin to become the ‘Ultimate Luxury Global Brand’ and with the investors and people he’s bringing to Aston Martin, would you want to bet against him achieving that?!!!
Re F1, this first week of the new season has shown just how powerful and valuable it is to a brand and what reach it has to a global audience. Aston Martin’s share price jumped 35% alone after the successes of Fernandinho and Lance at Bahrain last weekend. It was the BIG cherry on top after the final results Aston Martin released and just massively complemented the overall direction, feeling and collectively achievements that are developing in and around the Aston Martin brand.
I briefly hit break even yesterday and was tempted (albeit just momentarily!) to sell out but too much momentum all around Aston Martin and positive news in the final results keeping me in!! Significantly Increased margins in the numbers and with CapEx peaking this year too, margins will be stronger still looking forward. Record order book, got to be brave or stupid to continue shorting here at this time IMO. GLA
Safe to say they enjoyed those laps!!!!! Truly remarkable machine and summarises everything about the ambition, capabilities and direction of Aston Martin. Feels like we’re now entering the honeymoon period!!!! :-)
Olley Olley Olley Olley, Alonso, Alonso!!! Celebrated my 50th today and what a wonderful present from the Aston Martin team. Cars looked awesome and both Fernando and Lance clearly loved every minute behind the wheel and look seriously energised!!
Wgg hi at an incredible job the F1 team have done over winter and everything about Aston Martin really has started well this year and much more to come me thinks!!! ;-))
Noah - Who’s to say Alonso wasn’t running at full power?!!!!!
;-)))))))
Watching both Verstappen and Alonsos fast laps, they were pushing hard and both had a couple of steering adjustments to make , Max a bigger one so on a real clean lap, Max may just have it in the bag but the Aston looks very well set up and balanced on track
Alonso fastest in FP2 and the Aston looking very very good. Topped off with what looks like a SP closing at a weekly and 6 month high, it’s onwards and upwards into the 270’s next :-))
Have a great weekend and enjoy the race all AML LTH.
Excellent news, tidies things up again and confirms the company’s strong and robust position both from a sales and financial perspective so hoping to see some SP movement today. GLA
Day traders gauging on the jump up today off the back of good news and selling out for a quick profit but I’d expect the SP to continue to climb in a nice orderly manner as it has done the last 6 months. After the results, no reason why it shouldn’t
Yes Noah ;-)
The margins are much improved and very positive and with CapEx peaking this year, future margins and profits will be even stronger.
As I said, corner definitely turned IMHO and a clear demonstration of Stroll’s fantastic ability and business acumen over the last couple of extremely difficult years in bringing Aston Martin to where it is today. Have a good day.

Rock n Roll!!!! Well done to all LTH and I really do believe Aston is turning the corner and many more good times ahead.
If the F1 team does well in the new season after very positive testing, it will bring great publicity to the brand and valuable commercial gains here as everyone wants to feel ‘connected’ to winners!!!
