They will give back, maybe not short term. The fundamentals have not changed. SDX is a sure bet IMO, looking at many companies they generally only have a good story or a long term deliverable based on getting finance. SDX find, tie in, and produce. Some business case.
They want your shares before the results in August when it will be clear to everyone where we sit and the shares should jump. I am more that happy with SDX and happy to ride the rollercoaster, the dips not for the faint hearted but the end result is the goal. Keep the faith.
250, you need a rig to run the test string and rig up the test equipment. Normally on land you have rigs that drill and rigs that complete. .In theory you could install a Xmas tree and a completion string but makes little sense commercially, plus delays results.
From todays Press and Journal: "CNS, There is no current E & A drilling activity in the Central North Sea. Drilling in this region is next expected at ......Cairn's 22/18c Ekland prospect for which the Ensco 101 has been contracted."
Probably later this month.
Keith, nothing to be concerned about here, just about timing and manipulation. This stock is the best, I know of, on AIM, and today’s RNS makes no difference to me. I was at a private presentation this week by the investors relations team of a small E & P company who had mostly Institutional investors and said it was a nightmare when you had PI’s like we have. Their investors were in for years, whereas ours are in for days or weeks. I read Warren Buffets book and he says the same. If the company has great fundamentals and undervalued then buy and stay.
Using a high mud weight on an exploration well is not uncommon especially when high pore pressures are expected. It is more likely due to using the wrong type of mud which has affected the near bore reservoir. As SDX have no cores it is difficult to test mud systems for compatibility and expensive if you opt for the top of the range system when not needed. Usually a simple acid frac job to extend beyond the damage is all that is required normally, however this takes planning and logistics to perform. This result is disappointing of course but all part of exploration and development learning. BTW I have planned and drilled at least 50 exploration wells.
Agree daft63. SDX has a great story and they are delivering on it. Been with similar small companies before that came Good in the end, but my nerves were shattered getting there. I am sure we will see some ups and downs here but the fundamentals are solid. My biggest and substantial holding.
