I think there is a BP discovery close by that BP declined to sell to IAE ..... maybe!?!?!

It is happening.

The main reason for a takeover would be a larger operator buying production to maintain their production profile for their shareholders. Most of them have not been investing or exploring for several years and their production is in decline. I have seen it happen many times over the years. The only thing I would say is Ithaca is almost too small to attract the big players. However the Shell takeover of Enterprise Oil was similar. No problem in selling your shares of Ithaca in the next year. I will be buying a lot more over the next month.

In the range £1.30 to £1.50. If someone came looking to take over now it would jump to £1.40+, usually 30%+ premium. Once we realise production who knows. I owned IAE at £2 when POO was high but our production was a lot less. All I can predict is the SP will rise. Interesting few months and next year.

Ok I have to admit I bought 150k worth today. Sold some before New Year as I thought the delay would drop the price. Made a bit elsewhere but it was marginal. From here until end of March the SP is heading North. Also in Enquest as I see the familiarises but they are stagnant too.

I think we will get there soon as well. I also think £2 is realistic. My retirement depends on it!

Vlad, I think the weather is really slowing down progress and the company is clueless in how long commissioning takes even with minor issues. However there is light at the end of the tunnel me thinks. I would say we will get a brief RNS end of Feb saying "taps on" and a bigger RNS at AGM end of March saying ramping up production and on target. Great to see SP holding around the £1 mark. Suspect £1.50 by Q3. Your other stocks doing much better I see. D

Lets hope so, I guess all they could find are leaks but everything should already be pressure tested.Only the weather holding us back now. Hopefully we get the next RNS soon. Expected some step change SP rises in the next few months.

My understanding is they still have to commission the hydrocarbon kit which they cannot do until the well(s) are opened up, another possible delay? I am thinking next jump when 2016 results posted in March. Werberone: What is the weather forecast out there for the next few weeks?

Oil and gas is cyclical on a 5 to 7 year cycle and has been for a 100 years: guess! We are coming out a low and on an upward trend for at least two years. It will be a rollercoaster but for us in the business we see it getting crazy again soon: boom or bust industry. IAE will be in full production by Q2 and SP ??? I for one think IAE is one to invest in, good luck.
