The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
In the 31st july 2013 rns it said the placing price was 0.23 pence.I dont intend selling on the first day, and if the share drifts below 0.15 pence I may even buy a few more. Then I will put them at the back of the drawer with my VAL shares I have had for nearly 3 years, which have just drifted downwards in that time. If I had had a £1 for every time I had heard the word "imminent" used,I would be rich by now (or richer!) gla D
Sadly this was about as good as it could get ,under the circumstances. On a more positive note,I do think that REM still has a way to go in an upward direction. If they go down a little bit more on profit taking then I will be in like a shot. Just my humble opinion mind. gla D
as far as I can see you vote yes for something, however small, or vote no for nothing at all.I will be voting YES with my just over 1% stake. I dont fancy loosing everything. gla D
I intend to vote yes, because we are in such a weak position. This way we may eventually get something back, but to vote no means we will loose everything imho. D
Next to nothing is way better than nothing at all. I had totally written this off the day it was suspended. atb D .
I for one would be more than happy to take part in a rights issue or placing,to raise the money that we obviously need to keep going. I am sure I am not the only one. gla D
The silence says it all ! gla D
I hate to be the pessemist ,but I wrote off this entire investment the day the shares were suspended. I think we are in a very week position. My gripe is how the bod could supposedly have been looking for other investment opportunities whilst not having funds for the first well. between them, the inland revenue, and my ex,I am back to square one in the giant life game of Snakes and Ladders !! gla D
The two things that anoy me the most are the fact that the BOD said they were looking for other opportunities in the area to build up the company, when they couldnt even finance the first well, and secondly, months have passed by when they should have been organising a placing or a rights issue. The RNS today is a little bit last minute. gla D
I also would be happy to stump up a few bob if it saves the company . gla D
I was a very small shareholder in Sterling Energy for a number of years. They have been sat on $100m for the last few years, couldnt they buy in to this company ? gla D
The amount of money they need is really quite small, why cant we have a rights issue to raise the money,£150k or about that is nothing these days. gla D
Did they not have a rights issue a few months ago? That must be a better option than being over a barrel with a lender. D
not really, but my granny lived at boosbeck,i spent my summer holls there.sadly my gran has been dead 30 years, carney street long knocked down, and what happened to the **** heaps ? Not sure wether to buy more shares here or wait for a rights issue. This is way my biggest loosing oil so far. gl D
I live in the heart of North Yorkshire. We need a rights issue to help us move forward. I am invested here.gla D
Why cant we have a slightly discounted rights issue here,? then we dont have to pay any interest on a loan. gla D
I increased my holding here by 50k shares yesterday,. as I think this is a good price to buy in. I personally would welcome a small placing for all shareholders if it meant making a worthwhile aquisition.I think that is far better than borrowing the money esp at a high rate of interest. Just my own humble opinion. gla D
I have just bought another 50,000 shares this aft, only to find it is put down as a sale, and i suspect sent the share price down another 0.125p. What is the point in selling at this price ? I hope they announce the buying of more producing assets soon. gla D
was actually a sell,i reluctantly needed to raise funds to go into MRW who"s results are due on thursday, although I am a long term holder of this share. atb D
I have only ever been a modest shareholder in a few different shares, but 2 years ago I set myself a target of buying one million shares in a company which I did with NTOG.then my goal in life was to own a 1% stake in a plc, which I have now achieved.I am still wearing my shareholder "L" plates on this one.I was invested in SEY for about 3 years, they were looking for investments for their $100m pot,but sadly they never seemed to find anything to invest in ,and I sold the shares at quite a loss, but since then the shares have only moved between 36p and 40p. I do think this share has potential( SLME not SEY !) gla D
