"Although we are in the very early stages of our 150-day test campaign at Horse Hill, the signs to date are extremely positive for the Portland oil pool. The unexpected bonus of natural oil flow to the surface, without the use of a pump, gives us cause for further optimism regarding the Portland's overall commercial potential. It is important at this stage, however, to keep our expectations at a realistic level."
I agree with the use of word "conduct". Let us then hope it is sooner rather than later. An update would be welcome.
"“Angus Energy will conduct an approved 7 day well test on the horizontal well at Balcombe before the end of the Q3/18. The market will be updated in due course.”
For the work to be completed by the end of September, Angus Energy would need to start in just over a fortnight by 24 September. Angus Energy must inform West Sussex County Council at least seven days before the flow test starts. But DrillOrDrop understands that the council is not required to tell local people.
Dod "“Balcombe Parish Council has been approached at very short notice to participate in a Community Liaison Group (CLG) with Angus Energy...The CLG has been set up to provide a conduit for information regarding forthcoming flow test activity at Lower Stumble in Balcombe.”
My post is simply aimed at clarification. ie we will receive individual rns' s when SS is good and ready to release them. His "in tray" is probably fuller than it has ever been, which can only be a good thing as it is an indicator of the richness of our assets.
Reminder of statement from ukog in rns dated 13th july. It confirms that each zone will be reported individually and separately on the proviso that it is declared "commercial". It is very clear. The key is simply what threshold has been set for the Portland.
"It is expected that, should the minimum commercial volume threshold be met or exceeded, a declaration of commerciality for each horizon could be made in a timely manner after the completion of each testing sequence."

It is curious that the three MD's made statements - nothing yet from UKOG. Could ukog be thinking in an acquisitive mood again ?
Could be quite a momentous day today for multiple reasons. In the event of a non-rns day (which i feel will be the case), we should at least get the knock-out blow from the Injunction. Demonstrate by all means - but do not deprive others that wish to go about their daily business from doing so. If you feel so strong about liberty in all its verses and chapters take a gap year visit (take your pick) - Venezuela, Russia, Myanmar.....talk to Corbyn he might have a lot of spare time on his hands soon.
It has generally been reported as 214 barrels but this may simply be because this was the number originally reported on the ukog rns. Can the BKP tankers carry more ? Pete @wealdoilers will probably have a definitive answer.
Malcy re Solo " a canny deal if ever I saw one"
even drillordrop recognise BKP as a carrier of crude oil - see below from 2016 - its in black and white - https://drillordrop.com/2016/07/15/ukogs-stephen-sanderson-misses-court-appearance-in-fracking-protest-trial/
I think you will find this is exactly what his was brought on board for ( Nicholas Mardon Taylor )- his experience of similar at Hurricane Energy.
DHC -did you see the adjustment RNS for Prim and Gun this morning ?
Thats good. We do not want a 96 hour test. We want something more substantive. Something which will silence all the derampers. Am i alone ?
DHC - are you saying that it is likely that Dor will retire from the race ? It does not sound very Lenigashish. Apologies to Alba readers for this "side-track" but i guess we are all directly or indirectly vested in what happens to the HHDL play and licences 137/246.
If you are an Alba shareholder this is probably a good rns. Alba either remain a "co-venturer" as SS puts it or at some time in the future they adopt a similar strategy as Solo and sell their stake in exchange for monetisation and shares. But believe me the value of both Alba's 18.1% and Dor's 10% has just gone up. Whichever player who now wants these two, will have to pay significantly more as we approach the likelihood of a statement of commercialisation from Ukog. Additionally I believe there may be a more than "friendly" alliance between GF and DL. imho. Alba are backing a very fine horse. (Their own)
Pete, Morocco sold out this morning. Let us not be surprised if he is trying any angle to get the price back down and find an entry point. I fear that is now impossible.
Agreed. Someone was telling porkie pies before.
what did we see last week n33, and n19 or n22?
