you can trade from 8am... but there is after hours trading. Also things happen to companies that affect the price when markets close. So quite a few factors contribute to open being different from the previous close.

Neutrally toned comment: How about everyone filter out cloud and the other ones. Then people can talk about important stuff. I would like to learn from more experienced minds yet having blocked the nuisances everyone seems to be responding to them and fueling their 'barking'. As with dogs, ignoring their bad behaviour (cries for attention) is the fastest way to stop it. Reacting to it in any way (especially negatively) just encourages them that that is what they have to do to get your attention.
I would assume without an app you would have something to say you were clear on a certain date and to be valid you would have to manually track who you came into contact with and if they were clear or not. So I would hope a tracking app would display your most recent test and geolocate you to others so it could auto update if you had come into contact with anyone else that had NOT tested clear. Obviously like any app it depends on the other people having it. Though someone somewhere could state it as having to be a default code in ALL phones a bit like having a clock or the ability to ring people. That would be a good business to be in.. just brainstorming

Understand about the builders themselves listening to apps. But working in the festival building and management industry for 6 years now and occasionally building sites, I know first hand the health and safety regs that have to be adhered too. Whether the builder cares or not is irrelevant, the company that is putting him on site NEED to have certain criteria met for their insurances. So the usual tact is, fill out these and provide these or you are not allowed to set foot on site, therefore you have no job here. They will listen to the app if this is way forward
Is anyone able to explain rejected orders to me, due to volatile markets? As far as I was aware prices change rapidly (or at all) due to increase purchases or sales, so how are THOSE transactions happening and I'm not allowed to? I only have a small amount of money in general and being in the red for a while was not fun for me, I only just crested into blue this morning with pocket change as profit and I though I might be able to get out, relax and perhaps get a better position with my measly change. But it won't let me and now its back to red again.
