Some-one's got a clue, 11m buy just after the close.
Small time buyers.
They should just stick to AIM with there pennies.
Yes, the investment pros at MTR really are expert at disposing assets /shares at a bargain price.
They're doing very well at building a reputation for avoiding a great return.
They got bounced.
Something to do with 'porkies'.
Just make sure you don't rinse the frying pan down the drain.
Absolutely spot on.
Potential is useless unless it's realised.
Not a shovel, but if you've got a water pump that might come in handy.
At this rate Keith, probably just another ten years.
There is a certain amount of ironiy here in that Alba have to jump through hoops whilst bending over backwards making sure that they won't pump too much water at once or ensure no mud gets into the river, and all the while the local water board are continually releasing millions of tonnes of raw sewage into the rivers, which deoxygenates the water killing fish and plants alike, which then decompose, releasing methane, warming the planet etc.
From a different view i suppose they're sharing it with the world and a problem shared is a problem halved.
I just don't think that the Welsh governance can see past the end of their noses when it comes to environmental issues.
HThey get entwined in their own romanticised green rhetoric.
It's a bit like sawing your own legs in half so you can get more steps registered on your app.
If it were as simple as rocket science, it'd be a dodle.
Nic62, your post back at you.
But if it's not passed on it doesn't matter how much it's reduced, if it were reduced to zero you'd likely only get a 5 or 10p cut at the pump.
The retailers are the ones fleecing us.
Fuel duty has already been cut, but it wasn't passed on to the consumers.
Lol, 5k per share, not only could I retire, but I could afford to become a professional alcoholic.
Make it an aero-engine and they might do you a deal.
I think I've been there myself, anger is just part of the cycle of depression, it takes a long time, and you generally realise after you lose or have lost about 80% of what you started with, that the only person to blame is yourself.
Unless someone hacked your account and pressed the buy button for you of course, in which case you have some redress.
Keith mate, it's the 'excited' bit that's the worry, if you look back at previous announcements (not just mtr, this is a general thing), a bod are always 'excited' when they're about to shaft you, after they've done that they'll announce that they're 'delighted' to have done the deed.
It's a kind of key word management thing.
Once again I do hope that that it's us long suffering holders that'll be delighted, but i won't be holding my breath for it.
Let's hope that is a positive.
I hate to say it, (despite the way I've posted on mtr recently I don't actually like being negative about a company I'm quite heavily invested in).
My view of those statements, having the benefit of the bitter contempt that this bod appear to have for their small fish aim shareholders, attempting to read between the lines, is -
We're hopeless at investing, we're still riding on the one thing we've done properly in the last five years, so we're going to be cutting back at a loss to pay for our champagne fuelled luxury holidays and the resultant drop in sp means that you mugs are going to pay for it.
In a nutshell.
I do hope that I'm 100% wrong on that but the way us smalltimers have been taken for granted over the years is beginning to grate a bit.
Same here normbeef, amc and eua, my conscience wouldn't allow it.
Not that I'm a moral crusader or anything, just the thought of what I was ultimately supporting by holding them.
You all sound like me today.
Utterly disappointed in the bod, where have all the cheerleaders gone?
Grim.
Ps. I read that hydro had been banned, i wonder what they'll be reincarnated as.
Might get a ripple from ukogs news here in a bit.
