We have managed and mitigated inflationary pressures and supply chain disruption throughout 2021, whilst the Q4 issue of Covid related labour supply shortages primarily in our delivery proposition has now abated. There is no denying the challenges we will face in 2022 but the restructured business is in good shape, our offering greatly enhanced and our team as strong as ever.”

Looking ahead, the company said: “Whilst there are heightened geopolitical uncertainties and the path for consumer spending is currently unclear for the year, our targets on growth and UK & I profitability remain.”

How have things(apparently) gone so wrong. Watch the March presentation ( via YouTube) and everything seems to be in hand!
Are things really as bad as the speculation here?

Remember though we are all just speculating on possible outcomes.
I have watched other shares fall like this and recover - who knows how it will eventually pan out?

Several of us in virtually the same boat here Yanis.

Did/could EVE not yet try for a bank loan ( complete with a plan showing costs cutting and the price increases necessary to reach sustainable profitability) or should there not have been a shareholder meeting prior to launch of the FSP ( which created the closed period so no news is released now). The actions of management have decimated the SP here when in fact we have no idea how the actual business is running along - certainly TP reviews are up, DFS expanding their EVE product range etc etc — will current shareholders be wiped out ( like Sirus minerals) and the EVE business will be able to carry on and soon be a sustainable profitable growing business?
Admittedly don’t know what’s happening in background as they may pull a 10p offer out of he hat - but the stress that what appears mishandling at best is hard to forgive from management!

Thanks Soton ( I believed everything put out by EVE & CC and even watching the March presentation where she promised to get a EVE core business to breakeven or profitability ( and not a hint of them considering an FSP situation) and still am shocked at how EVE are now in this seemingly bad situation!

Or maybe I should say I am aware of the pros and cons of diversification!

Yes several other stocks but I am very attached to the EVE philosophy!
Time will tell how we all fare here.

I shall be sad though Soton.... if EVE are not able to become a profitable thriving company and I still think it to be potentially valuable asset and still would not sell willingly for less than 10p a share - but what will be will be.
When there was 8.3 million in the bank I cautioned then on spending and encouraged not spending more than was coming into the business and even then to add a little to the bank balance always too.
... sad about the opportunity EVE presented itself to the world then only to now be on this FSP situation!

Perhaps D-G, we ( myself, Yanis, Michael, Aimtrader etc etc) can no only now patiently wait to see what deal the board of directors negotiate to present to current shareholders!

Yes they need to cut costs or increase profits ( not necessarily sales revenue). It seems ridiculous with 26.6 million turnover and 59% + gross margins portrayed that this is not a very profitable business!!!!!!

A fair deal would be if a buyer is found to offer a price per share BUT any current shareholders if wished could retain their interest and continue on as a shareholder in EVE if they so wished!

But we do not know the situation here!
It’s just all guesswork presently.
If a decent SP is not offered I would hope EVE will find a way to sustainable profitability alone.

... so perhaps after Jan - March downturn EVE sales have/are recovering at a pace?
