DFS have a history of buying exactly a company in this position and could probably have it purring like a kitten in no time with a few changes.
The FSP taking the SP to 0.7p is not obviously a way to create shareholder value if it only promotes DFS ( who also have a record of retaining management) to put in a next to noting SP bid.
In the right circumstances this company has obvious legs —- I see it as a valuable add on to a lot of other businesses but would hope the management have a plan to continue on before recommending a laughable share price —- it seems to me both CC and TP laughed as derisory 3.6p being even close to the true value of EVE on the presentation.

Yeap it seems all the I initial start up costs and mistakes have been made before EVE now as as CC herself says the turnaround is not showing its merits and the business is definitely on the way to becoming a sustainable profitable business.

I just don’t think you are a trust worthy poster Wyn. My suspension is that the negative expression on EVEs future may be so others will be too nervous to continue holding and you will jump back in when you think EVE SP is at it’s lowest and profit from others who have sold at a loss.
I hope my suspicions are wrong though.
Time will tell how EVE fair - but it does not do any harm for concerned current shareholders to either seek reassurance from EVE directly or band together and raise their concerns etc.

EVE have not said it cannot manage on its own to continue as a going concern if the FSP does not produce what the management thinks is a better way for the business to expand much more rapidly.

How can a responsible BOD not be watching finances when they have 8.3 million in bank to whatever the present situation which has not yet been revealed! In a business not yet showing annual profits no business can continue spending and not be aware of potentially bad consequences if they do. At the same time having 3rd year sales revenue growth!
Sorry I can’t consider EVE are now in dire straights (yet) or if they are even heading that way I can only think it shows management complete mismanagement of our cash in the bank! If that was/is the case they probably all need to be replaced ASAP but we do not know and so if they not in dire straights and only want additional funds to hasten the untested expansion plans into the opportunity to be the worlds first digital sleep company then any sale of the company with the boards predicted potential needs to be at 10p level minimum per share!
The FSP is causing a lot of uncertainty and either we need to be reassured the business is ‘ in good shape’ to continue towards sustainable profitability alone as always was what EVE have been saying or told about how much interest is being shown by potential buyer. EVE new to tell shareholders the business would only be sold at Xpence per share or it will continue on to sustainable profitability alone!

EVE need someone in charge of finances who will be fully aware of all costs involved and the ones that desperately need cutting plus selling prices that permit sensible ongoing profitability per sale.
It does not seem like rocket science!

Wonder if EVE should consider suggesting to DFS to be stocking the SleepAway mattress?

Time will tell with EVE as to how things develop. I set out how I see things below.

Part 6....

So why the sudden unexpected FSP just after the AGM then?

Did the board just after being voted in again at the AGM suddenly panic and say look we are down 22 % sales revenue compared to 2021 ( but note actually up 7% compared to 2020!)
Had the chief financial officer Tim Parfitt not been watching the cash balance and sounding warnings of cash going down to fast? ( if he has not been doing his job diligently then he should go immediately).
A highlighted and experienced ( not to mention well paid ) board with CC, Tim, Massod Choudhry, Mike etc — suddenly in panic mode after the upbeat messages in the presentation everything is manageable ( but we may have to tweet here and there) and CCs promise In the March presentation to get EVE core business to break even no matter what. A board of this quality panicking - possibly but on balance not likely!
So why this sudden FSP that has caused such shareholder confidence issues the SP has been nearly wiped out!
Other reasons - was the American deal ( we have not been told what was offered) did it just whet the appetite of the board as to what an injection of capital could do to hasten the progress of the Digital Sleep Wellness plan ( again we have not been told how much this scheme would cost in capital to set up nor how such a digital sleep operation would generate revenues).
Is this FSP really panic driven or the first Digital Sleep Wellness opportunity driven ( hence a lot of cash required to set up speedily) or could it be that the board know of one or more interested parties eyeing up EVE for its potential now all the hard work in turning the business around has been done etc etc.
I am still placing a nominal value of 10p per share on EVE until more and indeed all information is revealed as we simply do not know to many details!

Yes cash may have suffered a bit in 1st half of 2022 ( and a lot less than comparable businesses)
But in dire straights and about to go into administration —- I just don’t buy that!
