If this hits 100 I think there will be a lot of happy punters :) myself included! I met an old boy in the gym the other day. Well spoken and used to be an accountant in the city. He played the game on the shares front and was invested in the company that was behind the taser tech. I asked for one piece of advice he said hold. As when he doubled each time he top sliced if he held it would have continued climbing. Could this get to 40 and then drop back yes possible in mind. But if you hold and we get to the point dividends are declared that interests me more. It’s so hard to call but I do think ecr is on the rise and it will keep growing. CB is a good bet in my view and his recent addition of shares guarantees 10-15 in the near future in my view. Good luck all.
Good post, trek.
Sounds like a good RNS to me. I think from memory Proactive do have interviews via their company information page. Best google it and see what comes up.
What a day! Great news re the directors buy shows confidence in the company as well as their commitment to it. Clearly they are in the know and are fully aware of what is coming. Viewing the historic chart of ECR this used to be 1000 per share in 2004. I have seen this high valuation with other mining company’s and then it tanks. I wonder if ECR could ever go as high as that again? Could that really be possible? Also why such a high value at the start surely the company at that stage must have been considerably less established. Just food for thought as to what the potential share price could reach in the future. Any thoughts?
It’s happening fellow holders. I think the example about AAZ was a good one to illustrate the potential. I think a lot of holders here recognise the potential and will hold so they don’t miss out on where this will go. Pleased to be part of the journey since 0.7.
Food for thought, I suppose it depends on whether you can wait and not take the profit. My general feeling is that this could go all the way. I think on the success of this ECR will also do a lot of other good things CB comes across well.
Thanks for the response.
Gut feel this will come good in the medium to long term.
Yes, I have high hopes for kod. Have gone in heavy on another share but kept kod and added to it so am invested and intend to see this through. The upside is considerable if this comes off. Just seems like all the dots are aligned for take off!
Also to add to this my shares are not in an ISA (don’t like the idea of losing access to funds if needed)
So thinking of the future. Let’s say they get the JV, they get great drilling results and the mine is built. In theory once the mine becomes operational the share price will continue to climb and climb as they begin to earn revenue. Historically how long do you think it would take to build the mine? As well as how long until they declare a dividend. Has anyone ever been in this position before whereby they have held a mining stock, the mine has been built and a dividend declared?
The other thought on my mind relates to capital gains tax. My understanding is that you can earn £12k until it is taxed in addition to your normal income. Therefore let’s say this multi bags if you take more than the £12 k in profit this will be diluted by the tax that you pay (not sure of the figures but I may ask my accountant if no one else here knows).
Fair points and I don’t disagree. Time will tell.
That’s if they don’t run out of money and the company fails. I made a small loss and got out perhaps I will live to regret it. However when you have a monster like ECR it wasn’t a hard choice.
I just don’t think Sino would have undertaken the MOU unless they really believed in the project. Governments need to earn revenue no matter what for they take hence I would be shocked if the licensee wasn’t granted. Anyhow we will soon find out!
So the day after they are issued then, in theory the share price should rise with the increase in volume and then dip once people start to sell. I would imagine quite a few will keep the shares though, I will be...
Well let’s see what happens should be interesting.
There is another player in Cornwall called British Lithium. The people behind this business have successfully operated mining businesses in Australia. Roderick and his son Andrew Smith. Hence Cornwall is going to be big for lithium and I am sure they will make a go of it. We don’t have the country and political issues with a UK source but by no means will this be enough to supply demand. Here is a useful article https://www.africanreview.com/construction-a-mining/excavation/are-battery-metals-the-new-gold-for-west-afric I would expect news within the next 6 months.
If Sino fully commit I would expect things to progress quickly. As I have said before my main concern is the country and the political issues. That said Sino are already operating in Mali hence I am sure they have the know how to make this happen. It’s worth a punt for sure.
It could go either way in my view.
