Have to completely agree with Haggis Trap.....Scheil actually post a lot og good information and insight into what he believes is going on in HUR but his views on Scottish politics are complete nonsense. He clearly does not live here not have a clue on how devolution works.
He is as confused about Reserved and Devolved matters he must be getting his opinions on Scotland from the Daily Mail or Daily Express....hoho Such ignorance does however fuel the desperate need for self-determination.
Stick to HUR Schmeil....you are way out of your depth with this
SR - "Bayled"
Silage or Hay?
Apologies for repeating this but I have seen the question regarding resources posed several times in the last week but yet to see a reply.
I know that the previous board released the CPR with, if I am correct, 8.2m bboe in place and recoverable.
So much optimism with the new board and CA positivity in general - what needs to happen to so that there is confidence that this 8.2m figure is extremely low and that there is a longer term future for HUR without the need for additional drilling campaigns at huge cost.
Going to ask a very basic but fundamental question here and excuse me if I have not been reading up on every recent RNS (not that a word of them could be trusted anyway)
The former (woohoo) board claim there were only 8m boe recoverable. What is it that the new board need to do to ensure a long lasting future for HUR and continued production well in excess of 8m boe?
Is the 8m boe figure to be seriously questioned as things stand? Is this writing down of future oil recovery achievable all part of the scam or is the independently verified logic behind it?
Surely this ludicrous £17m has not all been spent though - with the re-structuring plans not going ahead surely a huge amount is recoverable?
Thanks for the advice just registered my votes for 536,000 shares
I am with Barclays, can I anticipate an email (or letter) from them or do I need to contact them?
Nonsense. I can see the Greens winning over 10 seats in 6 weeks time in Scotland alone - they will get a lot of list votes - especially after Patrick Harvie's fantastic speech yesterday
"There is a lot more down there than they are letting on..,"
planted - do you care to elaborate on this. I see a number of positive posts from you when I com on here, but anted to see if you have anything to back this up and it is not just a base-less opinion. I am genuinely interested on how you come to this conclusion as I have seen nothing from the company to back up your statement ( I acknowledge you have answered this by saying they are not letting on....so who is?)
"Must be a fair few LLs who's average is over 20p."
and the rest....mine is mid-30's. Have bought all way from 8.8p up to around 50p...then as far low as 21p but not had funds for any lower (simply not got anything left and indeed in debt) This has been a terrible time for those who have held for the past few years - more than a few sleepless nights. I know its all my own fault, I just got carried away and believed all the Dr Trice nonsense about the resources. Yup, one thing for sure this has been a life changing share.........unfortunately
10.5p...absolutely not !!
Been in HUR since Jan 16 when I got my initial tranche at 9.9p (for four years I was delighted to have bought those) but bought all the way up to 50p and a fair amount on the way down at 22p. 10.5p would creat financial problems for me......need a lot more
oh wow...that's a shock
I met Neil quite a few times and enjoyed his company - sat next to him at a dinner a few years ago and he was a good laugh - told me of the time he lived in the Gatehouse of Cluny Castle (about 3 miles from me) at the time they were filming The Queen with Helen Mirren (it was used to represent Balmoral) - film crew camped there for a while and Helen Mirren would pop in for a coffee now and then. Vary sad - he couldn't be that old...…..
MaverickD - I don't mind a bit of positivity but any chance you could condense the number of posts on here? It's getting very repetitive and clogs up the board (I am sure it takes you away from doing other things that are more important in life) May be come on once in the morning and then again in the afternoon. I am in a terrible position here with far too many shares at a price many multiples of todays but constantly seeing your over the top excitement at reaching 6.2p or whatever just makes me cringes and log off. We all want the best for HUR but just gee it a break please
This is all being looked at presently (not saying specifically for HUR) but Floating Offshore Wind - and yes WoS. Hywind Tampen will be first project where 11 x 8.8MW turbines will provide power to Gulfaks and Snorre.
I would say first deployment in the UKCS is at least 4 years away...but you never know with a few incentives and approvals could be quicker.
Might be some issues with getting power to the turret on an FPSO though
Thanks Missdosh that's a really good document on where we are right now - suggest all the dafty posters read it too !!
Diver
Thats my story too........exact same stocks. However far more heavily invested here and still clinging on to the hope that we can get a half decent return - maybe this time next year?
I think you will need to explain your very first question on the HUR board before you are going to get an answer.
Daltry - that's very negative viewpoint - why post this on a BB you wish "didn't exist" You could have taken a more positive slant - what if the news is good? (afterall the company said they would advise the market should there be any divergence from the planned production plan of 20k boe per day.)
oh, and furthermore - "If it ends up a damp squid ," - are you a fan of the IT Crowd?
Stobie only held 119,000 shares ( I find it incredible that I have considerably more stake in the company than the now ex-CFO).
I recall a month or so back many asking him to commit to the company - perhaps today we see why he never did and it certainly looks as if there has been disagreement behind the scenes - hopefully this is a positive change.
Yet another RNS and happy to see no reason to update the market on any operational issues - so must still be going to the planned 20,000boe p/d
