You won't get a reasoned argument from Fontenoy. He is an example of an interesting psychological phenomenon I have observed here in Ireland since the Brexit vote. In 2016 Ireland had just celebrated the centenary of the 1916 rising which had assumed almost mythical status in the country's pysche; the small versus the big, the people versus the empire, independence versus unionism. Then the Brexit vote; the small versus the big, the people versus the empire, independence versus Eunionism. Now the English are the rebels and the Irish are the Eunionists...it was and is a shock to the Irish mind that alot of people still struggle to deal with...

Bought a few thousand of these recently as there is a reliable quarterly dividend, good fund manager and a nice mix of blue-chip ftse companies with a global perspective......surprised nobody else has posted here so far......well have a look at CTY if you come across this post... GLA

7th May is dividend payment date...hurrah!

Final dividend is 4 pence payable in May with record date 26 March! Bought a few of these yesterday at 62.3p having read a small piece in the FT. Nice timing! Good luck!
