Judges Scientific, the group focused on acquiring and developing companies in the scientific instrument sector , announces it has acquired the entire issued share capital of Korvus Technology Limited ("Korvus" or the "Acquisition"), a maker of vapour deposition systems. The Board expects the Acquisition to be immediately earnings enhancing.
The initial consideration for Korvus is £2.64 million in cash.
Korvus specialises in the design and manufacture of vapour deposition systems used to coat materials with thin films. Korvus' systems are used for academic and industrial research, the majority of sales being to universities. Korvus' systems are particularly versatile with their modular hexagonal design, enabling the users to easily create a combination of accessories to meet their research requirements.
Nice to see them turning a profit again;

As the world gets back to normal they should be in an excellent position to capitalise on the growing x-ray scanner market
Absolutely gobsmacked watching this.
At the same time given previous market caps I think this should be valued at more like 17 - 18p a share at least. That's without considering the value of all the recent and upcoming deals which could add considerably more to the value of the company.
In short, this has a lot of growth left to give.
I'm thinking some people know something the rest of us don't...
I think we're waiting to see if another round of equity fund raising is required or not, heavily dependent on this payment from IRPC
Very good news - the water network here is massively leaky and the utilities companies seem to struggle with it a lot, so if Haydale can help shore up their (water) loss that could be advantageous for all involved
Yeah their market cap at £2m - £3m is absurdly low! For a long time they were oscillating between £8m - £12m so I'd expect to see them in that region again at least. Exciting times.
RNS: Image Scan, (AIM: IGE) specialists in the field of X-ray imaging for the security and industrial inspection markets, announces signature of a partnership agreement with a major security technology company that will lead to the launch of a new range of security X-ray screening systems for the international market.
The first system to be produced under the new agreement will replace the former "Axis 2D" machine in the Company's product range. The new system will be a high performance, competitive conveyor X-ray machine with a 60x40cm tunnel size, suitable for security checkpoints in Government and commercial buildings around the world. The product range will eventually include a range of X-ray formats. Other technologies, such as archway metal detectors, will also be sourced through the new agreement.
The new system will be taken to market both directly and through Image Scan's expanding network of international partners.

Seems like fantastic news for the company. Anyone got any idea who the "major security technology company" is/could be?
I think it's a good move - it incentivises the company and the markets to work together to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
I imagine we'll see the Share Price calm down for now until the next piece of good news is issued. Hopefully, this won't be too far away.
Also, Vettel to Aston Martin seems like a very real possibility. He is said to have found the working culture of the English at Red Bull far more to his liking than the more uptight Ferrari, I think the Aston Martin environment would suit him down to the ground. It's a very exciting prospect
And the future Aston Martin team are currently leading 1-2 at the top of the timesheets! No doubt the order will change soon but still, it's heartening to see. I'm excited for Aston Martin adventure to really kick off in 2021
Agree, I'm sure there's more good news in the pipeline but until then we can only watch as it rises and falls
Is anyone else pleased at the appointment of this lady? Between her time spent working as COO for LSE and her time at ANGLE, where she helped with commercialisation of tech I feel she could be just what this company needs - someone whom the markets like and with experience of bringing technology to the markets. What do people think?
