Interesting. I used to monitor prices, volumes and trends for most of the trading day until I realised that the returns I was getting didn't really warrant the hours put in! That's not to say that my understanding of how markets work hasn't improved though. I kind of view the time and energy spent researching and the losses accrued as 'tuition fees'. However, I have paid my fees in full and am currently enjoying a nice run. One thing I tend to do, Randall, is to recover my original stake, when I'm happy with a %ge profit, and then continue to trade on 'free' shares. Over time and with a bit of luck, you may start to build up a nice portfolio which is fundamentally free to play with. Having done that, you can take a few more risks/punts without the pressure of having to sell the house in order to pay for what is essentially an educated gamble...
Any hoo.....what are your thoughts on a Jarvis TO Randalf?
