Yep. I felt something was going on this end of yesterday and this morning , hence my post 0908hrs this morning:

The Joint Broker aspect made me a little bit uneasy but could well be the next RNS will have lots of interesting info and reveal their game plan. Holding for now.

I think SP is being held back for a big buyer at something like 0.05, hence the pull back as MMs try and hoover up shares so they don't end up being caught out - just my 2 pence worth. The SP should be a lot higher on that news and the shear scale of buys today. Anyhoo, EDL is looking good.

I'm not sure it is cheaper to use Indian cranes and tankers as the Chinese offer crazy deals and pricing to push out the competition and also if Indian cranes and tankers were cheaper they would already be used extensively in India. Either way, I don't see this point having any play on the current business operations and as I said earlier most of it doesn't apply to the private sector.

The article states: "The government said the order will apply only to new tenders for public procurement. It will not apply to procurement by the private sector." I'm guessing this means for the cranes. So on the crane front MPL shouldn't be affected. I also can't see how they can work it with the tankers either. Don't really see this Indian Govt. procurement /trade rule being an issue for the time being - it also relates to new procurements not existing ones.

Article also states: "The rule, though, will be difficult to implement under the cost, insurance and freight (CIF) contracts, where the shipping part is finalised by the overseas suppliers."

draft - interesting link but I don't get the connection to MPL - they don't produce cranes or tankers as far as I can determine and also Tata & Daewoo might be using Chinese flagged/owned/made tankers for their work.

Not having a dig, just interested to work through the logic.
