GingerHippo: It can also work to UOG's favour. If they have more than one interested party (fingers crossed at least 3), if they say offers from 3 (or more) companies, it makes the companies who expressed an interest realise they have competition and then lets hope ------ Bidding War :)

They could say how many indicative offers they have received and when they anticipate a final decision.

This would go some way to easing investor tensions (and by that I mean the big fish not us tiddlers :) )

IMHO this looks like like MMs deterring buys as they have yanked up the bid and left the offer as-is, perhaps they are struggling to meet that interesting £11K buy. This is getting interesting :)

I guess the huge spread is to deter people buying atm, which makes me think the MMs can't hold of enough stock...

Hi All. The Investec TR-1 provides a good indicator for this company.

I can't work out the Odey stake. They have an awful reputation if Google them read the reviews about them but also some of the press; however, they (Odey) are a company in crisis of you read the (edited link) below:

I think it's quite possible they've jumped in here to either short or hope for MIRI bounce back we are all expecting (cue Investec with the same aspiration I reckon) whilst moving money around due to Odey scandal currently in-play as they are being forced to stop funds transfers (all in the link above). IMHO, there isn't much shorter's potential here as we are touching bottom as it stands, so I think they have tried to shift money into areas they think might rocket just ahead of the movement of money freeze now in play. If I'm right this is all a good sign. Hope I'm right :) Good luck all.

Phil1976: people skimming profit, fair play but I trade like a corpse :) I can see this has huge potential, good old Buffet style investing, happy days and best wishes.

Folks, fortune favours the brave. There are a ton of good things in-play for this company, those committed to investing see that. If you want to trade fair play, I always make a mess of that. But I can see that this has arms and legs and it is gong to start moving and fast. So sit on the side lines and sup your tea, or roll your sleeves up and get in the mix. Very interesting Woody as they have created an astronomic holding as an investment fund - at least that's what I have analysed. This puts rocket fuel in the tank. We've invested in similar shares in the past, good to see you here, a lucky charm ;oD
