The PRV is probably not time limited. It will either be extended or an enhanced protocol put in place. Dry stacking from what I’ve read is the latest, higher cost, more environmentally friendly technique often being adopted by new mines worldwide. It is an ESG win, not a roadblock. The 193m height would be very surprising re visual impact and the approx 3500kPa bearing pressure (a few hundred kPa is normal I.e<10m high). Would expect some land forming blending in with the surroundings.

My understanding is that Hydrogen is about 27% efficient and is an outsider for use in cars; EV’s have likely won the day. Hydrogen’s energy density means it is being considered for buses/ HGv’s etc. Also to replace natural gas for boilers which will be phased out- see Ceres Power. Solid state still use lithium I believe. For battery storage it could be lithium or vanadium or both; place your bets. Batteries are still not powerful enough for storage for some applications; direct grid connections are required. Larger data centres etc.
