Below is a concise top ten list of UK green hydrogen projects above 50 MW, incorporating (Ranked by electrolyser capacity, the list notes ITM Power involvement, using verified data from HAR1, HAR2, and industry sources as of May 10, 2025.

1. MESH-H2 (Irish Sea) – EnergyPathways PLC, 640 MW, 2.8 TWh storage. Grid-scale hydrogen via wind-powered electrolysis. Operational 2027. No ITM involvement.

2. Kintore (Aberdeenshire) – Statera, 500 MW. Industrial/transport hydrogen. Operational ~2026–2028. No confirmed ITM role.

3. Grangemouth (Scotland) – RWE, 200 MW (to 600 MW). Supplies INEOS, cuts emissions. Operational 2029. Potential ITM role (RWE supplier shortlist).

4. Humber H2ub (Humber) – Uniper, 120 MW (to 200 MW). Industrial decarbonization. Operational 2029. Confirmed ITM role (six 20 MW Poseidon modules).

5. Fawley (Hampshire) – Hynamics/ExxonMobil, 120 MW. Refinery decarbonization. Operational ~2027–2029. No ITM confirmed.

6. Pembroke (Wales) – RWE, 110 MW (to GW-scale). Local industry supply. Operational late 2020s. Potential ITM role.

7. Kemsley (Kent) – Lhyfe, 80 MW. Industrial supply. Operational post-2027. No ITM confirmed.

ITM Power leads in Humber and Scotland projects. Total capacity ~2.01 GW, supporting the UK’s 5 GW green hydrogen goal by 2030.

Reading P & J (Aberdeen paper), Gillian Martin Net Zero minister is bang on for renewables and green hydrogen. Any Teeside, Humber, Merseyside, Wales, Midlands, South Coast local insight to get the bigger picture?

AI is fairly incredible, if you are not using it. In one hour I got in-depth information on the Kintore project, the top ten companies involved in green hydrogen UK, top ten green hydrogen projects and top ten companies most likely to be the ITM reservation partner. All to be treated with a pinch of salt, but still amazing information at your fingertips. I don’t think the Kintore 500MW and up to 3.0GW potentially is the reservation partner or Stratera the project lead irganisation. Which is good news. Orsted, RWE???

All I have read suggest a strong preference for PEM over alkaline.

From an internet search, a FEED Front End Engineering and Design exercise has been completed by Worley, with Aker also involved in front end exercises for the scheme. This is say 30-50% design and would look at such as electrical connections to Kintore substation, extraction of water from the Dee and electrolyser supply. Local supply as in Aberdeenshire but also UK is being very much encouraged on the project. Can we use river water?

Breakofdawn, no not in this case. That is a very exciting project. These schemes are encouraged by the Scottish Government. They are led by two different consortia who have spotted an opportunity in Green Hydrogen, linking energy SSE, SPEN, EON, EWS etc who own and operate Scottish wind farms with industries that are going green. Whiskey is high margin and can afford to go green along with other local food industries and possibly timber. Speyside is the capital of whiskey. Grangemouth area is a relative industrial hub. Scotland is largely de-industrialised. I understand that Teeside and Humber are the English equivalents and CCS is being trialed in Teeside. A cable is going to link the Moray / Aberdeen wind farms with energy with Hull/ Humber. I am a long term ITM investor and bought more recently when I thought we may be near bottom, hopefully. An engineer too.

There are Cromarty, Speyside and Kintore Green Hydrogen schemes in Easteross, Moray and Aberdeenshire and Whitelees and Grangemouth in the Central belt.

It’s where the industry and Freeport’s are in Scotland. Plenty water (sort of), plenty energy.

The recent price action is showing many elements of a chart breakout. Large volume, moving above 50 day MA. The 50 day MA is sadly not yet trending up. There are also some other technical indicators that I am hoping for and would be positive. Institutions use TA to time entry points. Shorters will be aware of TA and what it means.

IQ-AI are not at cash flow/ revenue break even and therefore need to raise money each year until sales increase. We have two strong suits of products. One is world class.

If we continue to raise money through a placement of 25,000,000 shares annually until phase 2 is complete. Let’s be pessimistic and say by 2029 then there will be say 350,000,000 shares. If we get the PRV vouchers what is that worth per share? 20p to 80p per share? Lower end no doubt. At a current share price that values the company at not much more than the name and listing value.

Brilliant news, further endorsement of ITM’s reputation in Germany/ Uk as a green hydrogen leader. There is fear in the market and despair in this share…all positive. Sure it’s been mentioned, but ITM is a major holding of the Global X Hydrogen ETF.

£300M joint Scottish and Uk investment funding to work with the private sector to re-develop the site. Options report due to report end February 2025. Most likely option is renewable energy production combined with green hydrogen generation and e-fuels and jet fuel production eventually. Know the site and this is an obvious option. We’ll see hears hoping.

Min 5 Terrawatts Electrolyser generated hydrogen by 2030 target in UK I’ll take that.

Up to 60% subsidy to industry for green hydrogen equipment being introduced in EU next week, I’ll take that.

Move from alkaline to PEM technology I’ll take that.

Paper loss on my investment to date, I’ll take that.

Biggest risk not being mentioned I’ll keep that to myself for now.

But have you watched the seminar, the estimated extension to life potential as well as, importantly, the quality of life that comes with GAM treatment was as noted below one thing. But also the potential combination of radiation and GAM as a viable treatment; where is radiation not used. And the possibility with dual treatment for breast cancer (I think for patients with breast and glioblastoma, but still there seemed some synergies between the two) seems to hold out great hope for patients, and investors.

I was mildly deflated after this mornings RNS (pluses and minuses) but mildly elated after the seminar.

IQ-AI (TB): Legacy Phase 2 approval of GM, IB software widespread adoption. I still suspect the recent share sell was to partially fund Phase 2. I’m an optimist. I suspect the other funders will be charitable, but a private pharma would be a real boost.

I suspect that whilst Al Musella may buy in the open market he will be offered options at 1.9p. Any buy under 1.9p, the option price for other directors, in my opinion is opportune for me and an average approaching 1.9p a personal target.

Technically the charts are looking interesting to me.
