The testing currently in T5 at Heathrow is a lamp test conducted with Optigene
There is no LFT testing at Heathrow. In the Collinson testing area it’s a swab on the back of your throat and the bottom of your nose. Results take around an hour
It has been a bit of a let down - maybe not get rid of him but time to drop Sir Al. Who even came up with that anyway? Ridiculous. To be fair, this current price could be a good time to buy and ride the recent 30% wave that’s been going on. £1 seems the floor and a bit of rumour pushes up to around £1.30 before a retrace on no news
Thanks for the link. I hadn’t seen that. However, the trial is for PCR and LAMP testing. Heathrow T5 has a dedicated area for LAMP testing that can be carried out in 60 mins with results sent via and email certificate.
LFTs would be nice, especially if they could replace the PCR tests but it’s not a game changer yet. This won’t change the AVCT share price one bit.
and it’s great news for ABC-19. Aimed to stop the rot or a genuine exciting development?
I base it on market sentiment and now two listed companies involved in Abc-19 and LFT supply in general. People are getting fed up with ODX. I know that the Abc test is linked to the government but other supply capacity is private. Who do they have lined up as partners? As a private company previously they can do everything very quietly and therefore spring a few surprises when the go public. Some may be very tempted
I see money out of ODX and into Abingdon
Does anyone know their production capacity? It’s a swab into the eye socket job but if it’s the thing that will open up life in tier 3 people will go for it. Surely this is part of the mass testing rollout?
Great info. Cheers
So many posts today that I missed the £75m discussion as well JHolder! Could also do with a recap... £75 per test seems a bit steep though!
Falcon Study tweet.
Finished on 1234 participants! Probably more still to be entered into the database. LFD evaluations complete!

Spot on Wiggly, I held and actually added during the radio silence but was extremely nervous I was making a mistake. 140p and some amazing clarity with a decent timeline, lots of exiting updates to come, a categorical statement to say the only ‘problem’ will be producing enough LFT tests for massive demand, 120 million for U.K. market alone, BAMS approval clarity with honesty given over lateness but showing it’s still on track... I would expect more PIs that sold out to be buying back in. To be brutally honest I wish I’d been nervous enough to sell out at the decent profit I had as buying back in now is such great timing. Anyone who buys now is in for a great ride if they are willing to hold for a while. The reason we don’t already have a massive immediate rise is because the big boys investing will realise they have time to add and get invested here over the next few weeks. It didn’t require panic buying to get involved. I would hope, and expect, this share to consistently rise modestly all the way into Q4 as we have been told to expect big news at some point. Lots of small rises will compound to be a big profit from today’s prices. IMO of course but more confident here than for a long time and I’ve been known to be a bit of a pessimist.
Thanks Sleepy, it was me that bought and sold and it required getting a quote bang on 8am. I can safely say I was pretty stressed throughout in case I was locked out of buying or I got the prediction wrong. Not sure the stress was worth the modest increase!
Took a huge risk and sold a large chunk of my holding at 160 then bought back at 147 for a tidy share increase. Didn’t hit the bottom either. Pleased with the outcome though and can now sit back with an extra chunk in the portfolio.
