I'm an "old" investor from the Premier Oil days, and Premier had good oil assets but too much debt.

I agree with you, a combination of 2 and 3 would be the better outcome but would like to see a special dividend (20% of last years) to reflect the increased FCF.

Middle East will continue to be an issue and I expect that oil price will stay at 95-110 all year.

Are we still waiting for some of the licenses to be awarded, or did MurphyWA get the last ones as well?

UK is f**ked if they do not unlock North Sea assets and remove/reduce EPL. Oil companies will not invest anymore in NS; other countries are starting to open up new oil and gas assets to become less energy dependant, but not bl**dy Ed (the Green crusader). HBR should dual-list in US or get completely out of UK, or hope for an election to get rid off Keir (the fool).

With fcf at $2.3bn (re Sekforde); deduct $300m for dividend. 45% of $2bn is 900m, or £666m, at a share price of $4 (£3) comes to ~225m shares but maybe I have missed something.

Looks really nice Sekforde but rather than buybacks (not a fan) especially such a huge amount, I would rather that they use it for reducing the debt.

Keep dividend as it is, no increase, but pay off debt.

I know HBR can service the debt but it’s too large.

Not sure if I am too keen on getting new licenses (commitments) when we cannot get the ones we have going. If we had any news about our current licenses I would be more excited getting additional licenses; but let us drill the ones we got.

Agree with your views, a7174anlaby, and are heavy into HBR; originally bought Premier Oil (great assets; see RKH) but have added more last year at £1.80 but still need HBR to perform. I believe they will when but first when llog gets going and if oil prices stays 80-100 this year.

Can anyone explain why Aker BP MarketCap is 3.5 greater than HBR.

They have roughly the same revenue and debt; is it only due to the EPL?

I would say so with its over-50s customer database, recent business transformation and a balance sheet that is improving.

At 5 GBP, it would be a steal for larger companies to get an upcoming company with a trusted over-50s customer base.

Southmead, 0.13 pence is a mc of 40M but I agree that is still to low for a company with that potential, and the cash from the farmouts.

HBR should move away (delist) from UK and the evil tax regime and rubbish politician, and list in the US. The oil levy will never be removed/reduced as the politicians have a tool to try and balance their books; similar to what VAT was supposed to be; its there and will never disappear.

How does it help the environment if the US, Russia etc all are increasing and pumping more oil and gas, and UK are sticking to their Green policy.

I bet that the share price will double overnight, if it left UK and listed in the US.
