October's budget will need to be a mix of spending cuts and tax rises, regardless of who is Chancellor at that time. Defence and SMR spending could well come into focus for deferral to later timelines.

France faces the loss of government and an IMF bailout, as does the UK. Remember the carnage over Truss, God knows where we will be in the next couple of months.

The Labour government is crushing wealth and wealth creators. Endless tax and spending rises with zero discernable benefit for the the people funding them. It won't end well.

Someone we know was offered a seven year fixed term rental contract at a very much increased rental price, way above the normal rent for the area, if he would sign his vacant home over to the council to house "asylum seekers ". This policy will destroy local house prices and the property market, whilst totally pricing out the local population and removing employment opportunities and income and the current pleasant and safe family environment.

Wether you like the direction or not, Trump is leading his country and putting America first. Be nice if our democratically elected politicians actually prioritised the wellbeing of this country and it's citizens.

Wow - really pleased for the sucess and bravery of all long term holders! I recently brought 230 shares and will increase that holding to 500, given the current price and potential future price.

I realise that there are significant charges and risk associated with leveraged shares, but wondered what is the longest time period that experienced traders have held these shares for - days, months or years even?
