Trotsky, the number of shares a person holds in CASP is irrelevant, everyone on here is welcome and respected, to a person with limited funds £1000 is a huge amount of money, if you are an RS6 owner it just about fills the tank up each week
Kilm, yes CASP pay a dividend every month, all CASP shareholders receive it (If you hold on DIVI date) cash is credited to your trading/ISA account, off the top of my head I think you get roughly £450 per million shares per month !!! .............. a lot of investors on here re-invest their dividend into CASP shares, this has to be done by you, as CASP do not offer a discounted Dividend Re-investment Plan (DRIP) yet 8-((
Kheldar, personally I don't think there is any problem with the original hole, the side track is to exploit the 3900m oil, the original hole is targeting totally different levels, multilateral drill all day long, after some Goggling, (I am no expert at all) the side track is commenced in a cased and cemented section of the main bore and at a depth where the pressure is controllable, we have no idea of the Geology outside the bore, if we start punching holes in the casing where porous rocks are present, what problems will that cause?

200m pay zone, now that would need a bigger B.O.P 8-))
Good morning Phil, GC ?............. ahhh, Golf Club, Ok never mind, yes there are lots more things to consider with a hole, than our primary school knowledge of oil well drilling, looks like they are getting very clever at this 8-))
I think collectively we have a lack of oil well technical expertise, the oil layer encountered at 3900m is obviously being kept separate from the main drill down to the original target zones, mere mortals on here have no idea of pressures encountered or expected pressures, we dont want our original target zone being able to pressurize the 3900m zone and then rendering it unable to squirt out of the top
Somm, thats how I saw it, they drilled the main hole and hit lots of oil at 3900m so they side tracked it and hit lots more oil at 3900m, now the question will be do they just leave it to pump out oil from the side track or do they halt that for the time being and carry on to the original target depth in the main hole ............. who knows, but what we do know is we have hit lots and lots of oil
