There is actually a great explanation of the tactics used by them. Jim Cramer explained how hedge funds played it.
One being, getting so called retail investors on a board and friends they had at journals to float some rumours or new ideas and see how it took hold.

As for inflation it may peak. But firstly how quickly does it recede. It may be sticky above 4-6% meaning interest rates stay above average. Supply difficulties with a number of commodities could be here a good while longer meaning margins get further compressed.

Ocado is very dependent on the capital markets. They have strong connections, Steiner a City boy. But patience not infinite. Tech great but still in this climate tough headwinds to navigate.

The company is innovative and they have pivoted well in the past. They are in a stronger position than Morrisons or Sainsbury's as tech and AI will be more and more pivotal.

These days you got banks across Europe pretty exposed. A large volatility expansion and their risk parameters explode.

As long as Powell keeps raising rates we are nailed on for a parity and below.

It may be just this week Powell sees the markets are telling him that liquidity is getting screwed all across the curve, especially on shorter duration loans which comprise mortgages. Yields are flying up to get some buys on bonds.
This while they intend to do Quantitive tightening. The Fed will start buying them bonds soon- no choice.

This is hitting our shores in a major way. This is why the Ftse is not doing too well. Though my view is that it is doing pretty bloody well compared to our European brothers.

Our mining firms transact in dollars but a certain portion of their currency will not be dollar based and they need to do FX swaps on that and exotics are getting killed as all currencies are against the dollar. That hits margin as well as Capex being moved between currencies. It is all adding up... and taking us down.

As for the banks its best we don't know what they are up to. Stronger capital requirements but all it takes is one decent sized firm to blow up and you have horror shows blowing back....

If people think Central bankers are busy now watch them in the next six months if Powell does not calm down.
We could be in a position where 2008 looks like much ado about nothing...

Buy the management. You can be wrong. But a company is it's management. Obviously right now PRD are miniscule but these guys philosophy is similar. They will sell higher up the curve. Better for them and shareholders.

Unfortunately for so many investors what you say is true. There are a welter of bs artists in this sector
with a myriad of ways to screw you. You only start to work it out when you have been screwed over
a couple of times.

You can also have genuine managements who are just out of their depth, experience wise, with the hand they are dealt.

PG has been very careful so far. They were bloody careful on MOU1. If they hadn't have been we could have had a disaster because of the pressures they came up against.
